Self-destructive blind greed

Hey Splinterlands Fans

In the Splinterlands Discord, there is a discussion going on about making the rebellion cards stronger or weakening the CL cards. Interestingly, it's the same people who are advocating for removing packs from rewards and of course again allegedly only for noble motives ``so that splinterlands sells more´´ which obviously are not the true motives.
These individuals clearly do not understand the complexity of their actions and are driven solely by greed.

The fact is that rebellion cards are already strong, and those who purchase them have a significant advantage. However, the problem lies in the fact that these cards are not necessary because most opponents do not have them. For example, Prince Julian is the strongest card in the game when it comes to low mana or silence summoner, yet there is almost no demand for this card because people rarely have to fight against it.

This brings us to the point that those who are now complaining have only exacerbated this situation by removing packs from rewards. For example, if a player receives a pack in rewards containing a gold foil legendary, they can either keep it or sell it to buy multiple regular foil rebellion cards at their level. As a result, more people end up with rebellion cards, leading to those without them encountering them more frequently and feeling compelled to purchase rebellion cards themselves.

And that means that the demand is increasing continuously and in the end the demand is greater than the supply, if there are no more packs in the shop and the player base is growing. It simply requires a healthy balance. They must not be printed too often but also not too rarely. Because both have negative consequences. It should also be noted that too much printing can still be overcome if the player base grows accordingly. A card that is too rare will die on a dead demand

Furthermore, the reduction in rewards, even if it was only a small amount in dollars, has had a significant emotional impact on players who now have no desire to invest anything further into the game. Some individuals fail to understand this complexity and act solely out of greed.
They only have such thoughts in their head that someone could get a legendary gold foil in their reward package, and that is a horror scenario for these people because they don’t want others to have it. And so ultimately, they destroy Splinterlands and their own investment out of blind greed.

Of course, now only the packs in rewards are not the only problem that has led us to this situation. But it is precisely such things that have accumulated more and more in recent years, greed and a lack of knowledge of the complexity…

It's clear that these individuals need to consider the broader implications of their actions and understand that their decisions have far-reaching consequences for the game and its community. It's time for them to prioritize the health and balance of the game over their own selfish desires. Only then can we hope to see positive changes in Splinterlands.
