Deadly Assassin - "Octavia Shadowmeld"

Hello and Welcome to a new Episode of my Splinterlands Fanart Series.

Today we will take a closer look at "Octavia Shadowmeld"

The Lore:

"Since that day, Octavia has never smiled, and on the anniversary of that fateful night, she heats the medallion from Kahn’s collar until it is red hot before burning its mark onto the skin of her forearms, feeding a vengeful death magic that resides deep within her soul."

The Card:

This Rare Death Summoner from the Soulbound reward pool decreases all opponents monsters health by -1 and allow you the use of one additional Gladiator card in this battle.

The Art Style:

Like all Soulbound Reward Cards also Octavias Character design is very detailed and well though through.
She truly looks like an agile and dangerous assassin.

My goal for this fanart will be to stay close to the original Character Design.

Here is my interpretation of the "Octavia Shadowmeld"

Lets take a look at the Illustration Process:

Last time i tried a different art style with a bit more of a painting approach. It was a lot of fun so i did the same style this time too.

The first sketch i do is always very rough. It is only a guideline for me what shape and proportions my illustration will have.

In the second step i work on a clean sketch with some more details. This two steps makes it easy to finish a clean and detailed lineart.

Now it's time for adding the shadows. First working on big shapes then working on smaller ones. Now its time to add the colour pallet and at last step the very important highlights and effects.

•All painting work was done on Ipad with Procreate.
•Video editing done with Luma Fusion
