Redesign "Kelya Frendul" - Splinterlands Fanart
Hello and Welcome to a new Episode of my Splinterlands Fanart Series.
Today we will take a closer look at "Kelya Frendul"
The Lore:

The Card:
This Rare Water Summoner from the Chaos Legion Set is probably the strongest Rare Summoner from the set. He gives +2 shield and +1 Speed to all of your Cards.
The Art Style:
To be honest i just realized now after finishing this fanart and after more than one year of using Kelya as a Summoner that she actually is a woman. To me her character design looks like a native American male, thats why i will redesign her as a male in my Fanart but will stay close to the original outfit and details.
Thats said..Lets do it!
Here is my interpretation of the "Kelya Frendul"

Lets take a look at the Illustration Process:
This is my third Fanart in a new art style i try out which is more painting like and its a lot of fun. Slowly i build confidence in this "new art style".
The first sketch i do is always very rough. It is only a guideline for me what shape and proportions my illustration will have.
In the second step i work on a clean sketch with some more details. This two steps makes it easy to finish a clean and detailed lineart.
Now it's time for adding the shadows in a new painting layer. First working on big shapes then working on smaller ones and blend them all together.
Now its time to add the colour pallet in another layer. At last step the very important highlights and effects are added and everything is polished with much care about details.
•All painting work was done on Ipad with Procreate.
•Video editing done with Luma Fusion

Hahaha - Du bist nicht allein damit. Bis vor nicht allzu langer Zeit war ich auch davon überzeugt, dass Kelya ein Mann ist. Habs dann auch irgendwo gelesen und mir das Design etwas genauer angeschaut und - yup, okay, soll wohl eine, hmm, Barbaren Frau sein.
Wie üblich und nicht anders erwartet ist Deine Illustration von Kelya klasse!!
