How are Stakehouse Den Distribute Colony Rewards ? - Reward Pools

In the competitive world of blockchain gaming, the right reward structure separates fleeting interest from loyal engagement. Stakehouse Den’s Reward Pools are one of those mechanisms that do just that—carefully calibrated to reward skill, participation, and investment. As someone who’s examined many tokenomics models closely, I believe this is both elegant and compelling.

What Are the Reward Pools?

Stakehouse Den allocates 80 million COLONY tokens per year, over five years, to fuel its reward system. These tokens are split into two main buckets, for each of its eight games:

  • Standard Play Rewards: 8 million COLONY/year per game, awarded to players through regular gameplay.
  • Jackpot Pools: 2 million COLONY/year per game, reserved for special win conditions and large payouts.
How Game Rewards Are Calculated

What’s interesting is how Stakehouse Den quantifies rewards. They use a metric called Rshares (reward shares), which only accrue when you win a match—not for losses.

The formula for Rshares is:

Rshares = (ColonyStakingMultiplier / 10) × (GameResultFactor / 10) × (HotSauce)^1.2

  • ColonyStakingMultiplier increases with how much COLONY you’ve staked—so the more you invest, the better reward scaling you receive.
  • GameResultFactor depends on the type of game and the nature of your win. Different games and win scenarios yield different multipliers.
  • Hot Sauce is included with an exponent, raising emphasis on that metric in determining rewards.

The game rewards a player receives are computed by comparing your Rshares against the total Rshares accrued over a two-week period, then multiplying by the game’s reward pool balance. There is, however, a cap: any single game can’t claim more than 1% of its pool in a single payout.

The Jackpot Tier

Beyond regular rewards, Stakehouse Den introduces Jackpot Pools. These are unlocked when players use at least 10,000 HotSauce in a given round. They pay out under more rare, high-reward events, such as:

  • Hitting a single number in roulette

  • Royal flushes in video poker

  • Splitting aces and getting blackjack on both hands, while dealer does not blackjack

  • Or hitting “777” on slots

Players earn access to a share of the jackpot bonus pool proportional to how much Hot Sauce they committed—generally 1% of the bonus pool for every 10,000 Hot Sauce used. (Though note: specific percentages and thresholds may evolve as the platform receives feedback.)

In summary, Stakehouse Den’s Reward Pools are well-designed to balance fairness, reward for effort, and incentive for deeper participation. For players or investors interested in platforms that encourage long-term engagement rather than quick wins, this model merits attention.
