First Hive Marketing Results & Future Events

Earlier this week I hosted my first livestream event as part of a new Hive marketing initiative to bring education and awareness about the Hive blockchain to the web3 gaming community (for details on how this works see this post!

This event came in the form of the "Darth Squirrel Showdown" Splinterlands tournament. The Hive curation rewards provided $35 worth of prizes that were handed out via tournament prizes and viewer giveaways. Over 200 viewers watched the stream live, including a peak of 52 concurrent viewers. Here is a clip of some of the airtime spent talking about the very basics of the Hive blockchain. Focus later in the stream was on HBD and the opportunity to lock in these recent gains with the Hive stable token currently awarding a 20% APR.

I felt this was a tremendous start and am looking forward to expanding to even more events and branching out beyond Splinterlands. 100% of the curation rewards from this post will go towards the next event.

The next event will be a different game to be determined at a later date once I have more info about the prize pool available. Splinterlands helped boost the marketing behind the first stream by providing some alpha to drop during the stream in the form of a new card reveal. I will work with other games in a similar fashion to attempt to get perks to drive awareness and viewers to the stream, which in turns increasing the exposure of Hive.
