I agree. We don't know that the new game will use DEC/SPS, but there is so much potential there if they do. The question I have is why would the new game studio want to use those tokens instead of creating their own? That's usually where so much value is for these new games, creating a new token and taking a percentage of it. Would that just be part of the deal for Splinterlands managing the blockchain back end? I don't know the answers here, just kind of throwing out some random thoughts.
It is finally happening! I have been waiting for such an announcement for years. This was always a great potential for the ecosystem and I think it will be awesome for all Splinterlands asset holders.

I hope it ends up being as exciting as some people think it will be! Only time will tell, I suppose. I think you're right when you say it can only really be a positive thing. How much of a positive thing remains to be seen, but it's not like it'll hurt. Hopefully.

I think SPS has great potential and I know it is tough to see for many collectors/players now however, the Cryptocurrency market has dropped significantly due to many factors and the biggest one is obviously the inflation going on around the world. I live in the United States and times are really tough right now as far as $ goes. The Crypto market seems to go along with Wall Street over time and there's 1 thing I have always noticed when stocks crash on Wall Street in the past. They always end up getting higher over time and reaching records which long-term investing is very hard due to "WAITING." I am not a patient person by any means however, I don't look at SPS as an investment but more of a game that I play for fun and that really helps me because I have yet to touch any SPS or DEC I have earned to withdraw it especially w/ the unbelievable gas prices using Ethereum. I know ETH 2.0 has finally taken over as GPU's are becoming more affordable and mining other coins is not profitable to how much ETH was. If SPS was able to hit $1+ at 1 point, it can definitely do it again as once things look better in economies around the world, that is when holding will be all worth it.
