Proposed Hive Marketing Giveaways From Upvotes!

Let's bring back the giveaway streams!

I've long felt that one of the biggest weakness of Hive has been its lack of marketing. This is no doubt due to Hive's true decentralization. Unlike other chains, Hive has no centralized authority to coordinate and fund marketing operations.

In the past I've submitted marketing proposals to the DHF, but I'm ultimately only a small creator and had no success here. So now I'm attempting a new approach, and probably the one I should have gone with from the very beginning. This time I will be dedicating 100% of Hive/HBD earned from the upvotes on select posts to advertise the Hive blockchain on my upcoming streams and videos. This will give Hive curators the ability to individually choose to support these marketing opportunities simply using their curation power.

The first post will be this very one you are currently reading. I will take 100% of my share of the curation rewards from this post and turn it into giveaways to promote Hive on an upcoming livestream. Hive logos will appear on screen throughout the stream, be mentioned in the social media posts promoting the stream, and I will stop the stream multiple times to run a Hive "commercial" and run giveaways (funded from the upvotes) during the stream.

The exact details on the stream, such as the game I'm playing, giveaways, and date/time will be determined at a later time as I learn how popular this marketing proposal is with the Hive community. I will attempt to use these giveaways to also negotiate with other blockchain games to try and get additional promotional support for the stream and increase the number of viewers who get exposure to Hive. If any Hive whales would like a say in what I play or exactly which aspects of Hive I promote please reach out to me and we can work out these details.

My hope is this can be a continual marketing campaign that is always going on. I can create content on numerous games across various chains to reach an ever expanding audience of blockchain gamers or even traditional web2 gamers. I can promote everything from how to participate in the Hive economy, HBD, or various apps and games in the Hive ecosystem. It can evolve into whatever the Hive community would like it to.
