Why Splinterlands and NFT based games are THE FUTURE!

NFTs are cryptographic tokens built on the Ethereum blockchain. NFTs are "minted," then sold, just like Bitcoin. The difference, though, is that Bitcoin is "fungible." If you swap Bitcoin with someone, you both still have the same asset: some amount of Bitcoin. There's no functional difference between one Bitcoin or another. This dynamic creates a simple, but powerful, change in how digital art works: it makes digital art exclusive. Once minted on the Ethereum blockchain, the NFT is represented on a public ledger that can't be changed. By owning the token, you are proven the owner of the art piece. There is nothing stopping someone online from viewing, copying, and sharing a digital art file, but thanks to NFTs, they CANNOT FAKE possession of the art. NFTs make it possible to have EXCLUSIVE ownership of digital art—something that was previously impossible.
Now I know what you're all thinking, there are multiple of the same card for splinterlands, and technically you are correct. Card games are where NFTs do get a bit tricky, but that is why games like Splinterlands have those epic, rare and legendary rarities. So for example, there are 7,415 Jared Scar legendary cards so obviously they are all the same which is fine I don't think anyone has a problem with that. But there are only 267 GOLD versions of this card. I am happily the owner of one of those 267.
Now, the splinterlands team can make and give more of these out as im sure they are probably doing already, however once they stop that is it. You can see there are only a few hundred gold versions of their Alpha and beta series which took place a few years ago. They will not make or give out any more copies of these cards as that series is done. Just like with pokemon how you cannot get a Shadowless charizard in a pack that is being created now. So once they are done with that card that is it, there will be no more made.
To have been lucky enough to receive one of these gold cards I believe is a huge accomplishment. But, I also think it is going to take some time for these NFTs and Play to earn games to really pick up but the will! We are in a state right now with economies in the trash, a pandemic running wild, and some people in positions of power that have no idea what day it is. So I believe right now as of this day, 8/1/2022 the world has SO MUCH going on that people are not even looking for anything to take up time because all their time is already spoken for. One to three years is my educated guess that is what it will take for things to calm down IRL and for things to pick up in this P2E NFT world.
I suggest to anyone reading this, to go right to the splinterlands market and buy at least ONE GOLD FOIL LEGENDARY CARD to just put away and hold for a few years. I would like to say i can guarantee a profit of huge margins on these cards in a year or two but I am not god lol so this is just my guesstimation.
