Splinterlands Guild Brawl and Opening the Earned 6 Gladius Cases
Hi there splinter-natics and hive-bees. Another Guild brawl was finished and here I am again sharing some of my tactics. One of the earning features of splinterlands is playing the guild brawls where you can fight in a fray versus members of other guild's guild members respectively. I am still in fray 1 where the majority of the allowed cards came from the frontier series. Add the gladius cards, those are the combination that are allowed in that fray.

Our guild claimed the first spot again for this round of guild brawl. We are working hard I guess. and it paid off for sure.

My battle result seems a bit unwell compared to the previous one but I think loosing 2 times is still acceptable in sharing to the guild result. We gain 4150 merits and 31 sps as our reward. This amount of merits can buy additional 2 gladius cases that can mint 10 gladius cards. That will help me boost my CP collection.

So right now I have enough amount to buy 6 gladius cases. This additional merits came from opening the ultimate chests from before that amounted to this much. Well, I am on the rush of minting my gladius cards so I did opened them all.

And the rewards are, I guess satisfactory. Captain Katie was there, Witch of warlock and Isgald Vorst oh and Katrelba Gobson are some of the gladius cards that I have good impression. Well probably it is my taste that this cards ability and stats captured my attention. Anyways, there is another chance as long as we play splinterlands so I will just continue minting. Just keep on playing the game and have those rewards.
One of My Brawl Battles

In this battle, its a medium mana capacity battle, 28 mana capacity and we will consider Noxius Fumes on the ruleset. Since it is only water splinters that is allowed, the summoner of water from frontier sets boosts magic damage so it must be given that we are going to use as much as possible magic attacking units. With that, I placed Asel Alagosdil on my tank position followed by Salt Water Mage and Mystic Scaleweaver respectively. And the remaining slot was given to Alfredo which is a gladius card. My opponent fell a bit short on its summoner card level but it did not limit its legendary monster units maximum levels and it used 2 legendary at that.

In round 1, with just Noxious Fume presence in the ruleset, most of our Monster units almost wiped out. My tank played a the crucial role in this round 1 that it negates and absorbed enough damage to save the HP of my other monster units. If ever the tank fell down early, the other units might collapse easily since the attacks from the opponents offensive team pass thru my front defense.

My Mystic Scaleweaver fired the winning magic attack and grab the victory for this battle. Its still a good fight in my opinion for my opponent also formed a good team to battle.
- If ever you are going to be a part of the guild brawl, better to choose a fray that you can perform well. Summoners, monster units and classification of the card series availabilities must be check for you won't gain anything if you just always "fled" your battles. Right?

Fray 1 frontier-only with gladius cards is a tight restriction. My guild switched to similar fray allocation last cycle and it changes drafting completely. The merit payout scaling at 1st place is solid too. Are you seeing any shift in the current meta with the new reward cards?
not yet. i guess it still will take more time. I am still waiting for the batch 2 of Frontier series before i can see possible changes with the meta.
