Hi readers! How have you been?. I hope all is well even with the situation in our world right now. This blog is intended to share my understanding on what are the advantages of using promo cards in the splinterlands battles.

Promo Card Identification on cards

You can see the cards identification of what type of card you are using when clicking it in game then checking out the details.

As you can see from the image above, Conjurer's Hubris card is a type of promo card that can be use by both water and fire splinters summoning. In the upper left beside its name shows the identity of the card and you can see that it belong to the Promo cards category. It is a promo card that belong to the era of Conclave Arcana series which are usable on your modern rank battles. I own this one which I bought on Lyra & Lorn's Exclusive shop and at a price of 100 Voucher tokens.

Currently, there are 3 available cards from that shop that you can choose from. I chose the one that i bought base on what I am building and the budget that I accumulate from my staked SPS. If you did not know yet, staking SPS will gain you Voucher tokens and liquid SPS in-game.
I am currently on my Water Splinters accumulation for Modern rank battles so Conjurer's Hubris is perfect for what I desire. Price and utility of this card suited on my uses aside for it got high mana requirements for the battle.

The Promo Cards Advantage.

Well, advantage for every card in splinterlands will be uncover if you are playing but let us tackle why promo cards have their own advantage. I wouldn't rank their advantage but will just share my experience using this cards. Promo cards already exist's before even modern rank where implemented and those old cards still functions on the Wild rank and I can say that still got high win rate. With high win rate, it means you are still good gaining rewards from splinterlands which is a possible way to earn. Promo cards also possess good battle abilities that can help you form team around them. Some of the Promo cards can be bought directly from exclusive shop or rewarded from purchasing sufficient amount of Pack sets on the promotion period. You should watch those buddies!
This is the most enticing perk for me of the promo cards. If you are using them you can gain additional percentage of your winning on your battles. 10% will be added to your winning gains if you are using a single RF promo card.

I will show a battle sample for this one for much more clearer explanation.

Battle Sample

Most of my battles now almost center on Water Splinters since I am on building them. I chose Loving the Moo as my summoner on this battle wit CoralForge on my tanking position. Next will be my promo cards for this fight non other than Conjurer's Hubris as my card on the second position. With flank ability of my tank, the second card can perform a melee attack which is perfetely suited to Conjurer. Add that it can do magic damage too. Completing my team will be Vengeful monk, Stampending Calf, Tidal Tsunamist and SwampWrought which are adding to my offensive capabilities. By the way, the battle is played under the "No pain, No gain" ruleset on 41 mana capacity limit. This battle will be against the Earth Team.

I got thee edge on the battle at round 5 where in only Silverleaf Mage is the only card that remain on my opponent's team. Range attack are not possible in the front most of the team without Close Range ability and that became the reason for winning this round of battle.

So here is the breakdown for my winning earning from the battle sample. Since I am using a single promo card Regular Foil, I gain additional extra 10% for my rewards. That is a good additional for claiming victory using promo cards on my team.
