Battle Synergy - Heloise the Hollow and Lord Thanalor are a match made for Victory
Hello Splinter nerds

I have been unlucky with the weekly fortune draw. All I see is sorry. I received more than 600 entries in the last one, but I was still unlucky. I plan to go hard on it at the beginning of next season by completing the daily quest of modern and wild in addition to the loot chest entry to see if I would be lucky to hit one black foil.
This week's Splinterlands community engagement challenge is combo chronicles. They want to know which card combo gives us more victory in the arena, and when it comes to this, we have different combos, but among all, my favorite is the combo of Heloise and Lord Thanalor.*
Most time I use Heloise the hollow in battles, I always make sure to use Lord Thanalor, and it is because of two reasons.
The first reason is the rust ability possessed by Thanalor. For Heloise to be able to complete her brutal attacks, we need to make sure the opponent does not have any armor protecting them, and that is where thanalor Rust ability becomes useful, cos it removes 2 armor from all opponent monsters. This may not fully expose all the opponent's team, due to some monsters that have more than 2 armor, but it exposes most of the monsters, making them vulnerable.
The second reason is the scavenger ability, which allows Thanalor to gain one additional health whenever any monster dies in either of the teams.

I was paired with Dmaan in 3 ruleset.
The first rule was close range which indicates that all range monsters can attack from the front position. The second rule was unprotected which indicates that all monsters lose their armor and they can't get armor from summoners, and the last rule is Heavy hitters which indicates all monsters have the knock out ability which is which causes double damage to stunned monsters.

The second rule of no armor makes things easier for my heloise as there is no barrier to block her attacks, but one thing of concern is missing her attack, the opponent uses the swiftness ability, which adds 1 speed to his team, and there is also Kelan Gaines with high speed, but I did not let that change my decision of using the redemption and taunt from Risqruel Drath

Heloise the hollow and Bellowmancer were my first two monsters, and they are also taunt monsters. The fear of the opponent also using Heloise was what made me use Mancer because of its shield. Heloise didn't disappoint, using the redemption and spite abilities to wreck the opponent team.

Lord Thanalor and Mahkah Hemlig were placed in the 3rd and 4th position. They both have the scavenger ability, which I need incase the opponent also uses Heloise. Hemlig has triage ability, which helps to boost the health of the rear monsters in my team, but most importantly, they are all bloodbank to Heloise the Hollow.

Virid Venomancer and Sylvaran Sentinel were my last two monsters. Virid has shield ward which allows it to give the monster in front of it the shield ability, while Sentinel has resurrect ability, which is useful in this kind of battle; an additional chance at life can be all needed to win.
I am glad Heloise did not miss her attack cos that would have been disastrous and cost me the battle.

Hello @burlarj, The way you explained Heloise and Lord Thanalor's combo is really great. You have captured both the strategy and battle synchronisation perfectly.
thanks.
No offense but quite overrewarded.
