Mastering Deflection Field : My Emp & Leolin Sifu Combo

Hello Splinterlands

When it comes to Modifiers, I have tactics I used for certain rulesets. For example, when I am given the explosive weaponry [all monsters have the blast ability] in the modern format and the life splinter is available, I use Bella Ratajowlski with the deflect stat to counter the blast from the opponent... I have different strategies for other modifiers too, and sometimes it can become complicated due to having more than one modifier, so I just have to go with the most suitable strategy that comes to mind.

Deflection Field

The Deflection Field modifier is one that I have a specific strategy for, and this is because of my love for a certain combo that increases my win rate...

The combo is using the summoner Elias Max Pruit and giving its stat of armored strike and piercing to Leolin Sifu

Leolin Sifu is a killer, and its weakness is thorn for being a melee monster. When it is given Emp stats, it becomes a deadly killer, and the only things that can stop it are Thorn and Corrosive Ward. Still, with this deflection field modifier that gives all monsters the deflect ability, it becomes unstoppable!

Whenever I see the deflection field modifier, my go-to team is the life splinter, and here is an example of such a modifier below.

I was paired with a liquidity bot in a 35 mana cap battle, and alongside the Deflection field, we were given 2 more rules taking sides which indicate we can't use neutral monsters, and high five which indicates only 5 monsters can be used.

The opponent uses a dual summoner of life and water to summon the water monsters, while I use Emp Summoner also a dual summoner, to summon the life splinter.

You can see our formation below.

If you noticed, I only use 4 monsters even though the battle allows 5. This is because of my choice of monsters and formation. I need to come up with the right formation if I want to win the battle.

The strategy is 2 defense, 1 at the front and 1 at the back, preferably a taunt monster, then a deadly executioner in the second position to eliminate the opponent team.

My formation

Silverblade fighter was my first monster and the first defense, its role is to protect the team from the opponent tank's attack, it has the flank ability, which is very important to make my strategy work, it also has protect, which gives +2 armor to all monsters in my team, winning would be impossible without it cos my main attacker would be the target if it was not present.

Leolin Sifu is the second monster and my main attacker, it becomes more deadly being the one that got the stats[piercing and armored strike] for Emp, making its total attack 15! Some monsters don't even have enough health and armor to withstand such attack power and worst of it, Sifu never misses its attack.

Albahoo Forester was my third monster, and its purpose was to replenish the health of my monster with the taunt ability. Bera Dallin is the last monster on my team and also the monster with the taunt that takes all the hits from the opponent, making it possible for me to achieve victory.

It was a flawless victory, and Leolin Sifu did all the killings, which shows how deadly the combo of Emp and Sifu can be when Sifu is protected by the deflection field from negativities like thorn and corrosive ward.

You will likely see me using these tactics in modifiers like this.
