Obsidian is good, but Immortalis is better

It is the weekend and also happens to be a day assigned to celebrate children in my country, we call it Children's Day and it is celebrated every 27th of May...

While the children were having fun, gamers like me played Splinterlands!... This week's splinter lands battle mage secret is about an old ruleset called EVEN STEVENS

The logo of this rule is quite self-explanatory, it shows cards with number 2,4,6 which are even numbers, this rule only allows the usage of even mana cards, all odd mana monsters are not made available....

The rule was given along with two others:

This is the WEAK MAGIC rule logo, it means magic monsters attack hit the armor before reducing health, so when you see this rule, you should know it is time to come up with monsters with armor or monsters that provide armor to their team, they usually have the protect ability...

This is the third rule and it is called WANDS OUT, it means only magic monsters can be used in the battle....

Four splinters were available, fire, water, life, and earth... Water and earth are the most suitable when it comes to using magic, water splinter has powerful summoners that increase magic and the monsters have high magic power too while the earth splinter has summoners that increase and also shield the team from magic attacks...

Both of us used the earth splinter but we didn't use the same summoner, he use a summoner that increases his monster magic power while I use the summoner that protects me from magic attacks...

This is Immortalis the earth summoner with 3 stats...

• It reduces all the opponent monsters' health by -1
• All monsters receive the void ability at the start of the battle.
• All friendly monsters receive the shatter ability which allows them to break the opponent monster's armor.

While he used Obsidian the summoner that adds +1 magic to all monsters she summoned...

Prismatic Energy

When it comes to magic battles, the prismatic is one of the best magic monsters,s and you will often see it in magic-only battles... It is a strong tank that can not be easily defeated because of it void ability and it causes damage to other magic monsters as well cos of its magic reflection....I was not surprised that the opponent used it too...

Elven Mystic

The elven is a magic killer, it has the silence ability that reduces all opponent magic attacks by -1, not just that as it also has the affliction ability that stops monsters from healing if activated successfully....

Wood Nymph

This is one of the oldest monsters out there as it is still being used often in battles, healers are one monster we can't undervalue and wood nymph is worth using for her healing and strengthening abilities... It helps to increase the health of all my monsters in this particular battle.*

Queen Mycelia

This monster was specifically used for her amplify ability which increases the damage done to the opponent monsters whenever they attack my monster with the reflect ability...

Doctor Blight

This is one of the most used cards and the reason is not far fetched, It has four abilities, two are deadly[ poison and affliction] the other two protect him [ scavenger and camouflage], I use it specifically for the poison, and affliction in this battle because I know the opponent will try to kill my magic power so poison is the way to penetrate him...

It could have been a flawless victory if I did not lose my prismatic energy but a win is a win...

The mistake the opponent did was choosing obsidian summoner over the legendary immortalis...
