Splinterlands battle mage secret: Fire & Regret

Hello Splinter nerds

The recent dip affected some splinter lands players that do rent cards to play because it is no longer profitable for them and this also affected their respective guilds as they could not partake in the brawl, hopefully, the market will come up a bit again...

This week's Splinterlands battle mage secret is Fire & Regret...

A rule that is a nemesis to monsters with the range mode of attack, anytime they attack they receive damage back...

When this rule is given, players tend to avoid using the range monsters unless there is no other choice or better still use range monsters with the reflection shield unfortunately we do not have many range monsters with that ability...

I got a combo of Fire &regret and Keep your distance rule set... The keep your distance means monsters with melee attacks can not be used in the battle....

The only option was to use non-attack, magic, and range attackers....

The splinters available were the fire and life only and both me and the opponent use the fire splinter using conqueror jacek to summon the monsters...

Our setup was similar too... The only difference was that i used Gelatinuous cube while he used lord arianthus...

Even though it was just one monster that was different, it was a big time game changer because the cube is one monster that can not be easily defeated if its healing ability is not taken away from him....

Fortunately, the opponent didn't use any monster with the affliction ability, so nothing can stop my cube from healing and the only way to defeat it is if the opponent monsters focus their attack on it but that is not possible due to Jacek scatter shot...

The cube took a lot of hits but not enough to take him down.

The victory was already assured at round 4, the opponent had only 2 attacking monsters left, their total attack power was 6 and they can not take down the cube if it happen to be the only monster left in my team...

In the end, I lost just one monster in the battle.

The dip affected a lot of tokens
Some people are even thinking of selling their SPS...lol
