Splinterlands battle mage secret : Melee Mayhem!

This week's battle mage secret is Melee mayhem

It is a rule set in which all melee monsters can attack from any position regardless of whether they have the sneak ability.

*This is an interesting ruleset as players get to make use of all their gigantic melee monsters *

The plot twist in the gameplay I am about to show is that I got two other rule sets that stopped me from coming with only melee monsters.

  • Earthquake: Non-flying monsters take 2 melee damage at the end of each round, so cos of this rule, I had to use some flying monsters that won't be affected by this rule.

  • Healed out: Monsters can't self-heal or be healed by any healer, so may the best attacker win.

These two rules kind of make the battle complicated, I can't just use melee monsters like I said, I have to protect my teams by using flying monsters too!

As I was making my plans and selecting the best team that popped up in my head to win the battle, the opponent was also doing the same thing and his intention was to use the martyr ability to make his team powerful enough to defeat me but he got no chance!

My formation

  • Forgotten One

This monster was my tank and a very strong melee monster, I placed it at the front for a one-on-one battle with the opponent tank to see which one is more brutal, His retaliate ability didn't work but still, It did some great damage to the opponent Kralus.


Coeurl Lurker

Lurker is the first monster with the taunt ability I used, I didn't want the opponent monsters to attack my tank so I had to use Lurker to distract and lure their attacks, It has the thorn, phase, and dodge abilities which makes it dangerous to magic and melee attackers and that is what the opponent came with.

Magnor

What if the opponent was able to eliminate my first taunt monster easily, I didn't want to risk the battle so I used another monster with a taunt ability which is Magnor, also just in case the opponent used monsters with blast, any blast effect would trigger the Magnor enrage ability and he will wreck havoc on the opponent team.


Tower Griffin

The Griffin is a flying monster and it also possesses the protect ability that adds 2 armor to all monsters on its team, quite useful!


Spark Pixies

The team is not complete with the pixies, one of the fastest monsters in the fire splinter with the stun ability and very hard to hit because of its dodge and flying ability, In case you find it difficult to see its picture, change your theme to dark mode


Exploding Rats

Last but not least is the exploding rats, I just love this monster for its speed and blast, it has only 1 health so it doesn't last long in most battle but when it die, its redemption ability get triggered and it does 1 melee damage to all the opponent monsters.

The battle was quite easy for me to win.

I haven't seen the match, but most times I tend to put my forgotten one at the back to protect it, since it's immune. You also had a taunt card, I guess that would have been the perfect ingredient for winning, unfortunately you couldn't heal that taunt, the ruleset made it tricky.

Yeah no heal, That is why I use two taunts.

i guess you put it in the back in the noxious fume ruleset where all monsters are poisoned, for it to be the last man standing
