Downgraded Rewards in Loot Chests?

I have noticed a pretty Big decrease in the quality of rewards obtained from loot chests over the last 2 weeks. All I seem to get are potions and DEC in amounts of 20 or less. I also haven't pulled a rare or epic card since July. Have Loot chests been declining in quaity of rewards lately? And if so, what's the reasoning in your opinion? Please your experience!

I pulled 2000 DEC out of a chest 3 weeks asgo and since then most have been duds. Been playing 3 months and have gotten 2 gold cards and a few rares and epics in total. Hope your luck turns around!
I think that there are way more players today than a month ago. The rewards are likely being "cut" to spread across more players to avoid inflating the cards printed and DEC printed on the daily.
