The Radiated Brute: Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge!

Introduction

The Radiated Brute is a common card of the latest Chaos Legion series, and is included in the Summoner’s Spellbook when you join the game.

Its ability is Reach, which allows it to attack from the second position as a melee monster. This monster is often paired with the Living Lava and Tarsa as the summoner.

I actually have a lot of battles with the Radiated Brute since this is a card that I often use in the Fire splinter. Compared to its alternatives, Fineas Rage and Magma Troll are more expensive to level up and hence less competitive even in the Silver League.

Match of The Week

For this week’s battle challenge, I will be showing a match that is rather unusual.

Watch the battle here.

Lineup

First Monster

Living lava

Probably the most commonly used Fire Tank from the starter deck.

Too expensive to level up so I usually make do with it as a Level 1.

Second Monster

Radiated Brute

Star of the week!
With Tarsa’s melee buff it ends up dishing 4 Melee Damage per hit with 7 HP to soak up damages.

Third Monster

Exploding Rats

In these rulesets, I like to use the Exploding Rats for its high Blast damage.

In hindight, I think I would’ve been better off placing it on the 4th position to preserve it longer as a glass cannon.

Fourth Monster

Grum Flameblade

I had enough mana and I knew that the opponent has access to an Alric magic team from his recent battles.

So of course, I put Grum in to soak the magic damage and also to deal damage and stack up the bloodlust from behind. As mentioned above, I would have been better off if i placed Grum in the third position instead.

Fifth Monster

Disintegrator

The Disintegrator was put at the fifth position to secure my backline’s defenses.

Sixth Monster

Antoid Platoon

Another monster with shield to defend my team against enemy melee monsters from sneaking in.

Combined with the Disintegrator, the Antoid was able to survive for the whole game!

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy worked, but only barely.
Grum was able to carry the team only because the Disintegrator and Antoid tanked so much damage from the enemy’s melee monsters that were inspired.

Do you like the Radiated Brute? Why or why not?

Yes, I love it and I use it in my Fire team most of the times.
It is an affordable alternative for the Fineas Rage, which gives me the opportunity to max it at the Silver level.

Conclusion

That's it for the week, until next time!
