All unit start with the same health, based on the highest health on either team

Earthquake screams to use Flying monsters to negate any end of round damage, but there are other strategies to consider.

  1. Try to use the highest attacking cards
  2. Think carefully about using high health cards as you will be giving your opponent that same high health to all of their cards.
  3. Heal, Tank Heal, Life Leech and Scavenger can help add more health to your team.

Battle Example

This is an interesting battle as it is on the edge of being a high mana battle and made the decision tough to stick with lower health cards or go for the big guys and not worry about buffing up my opponent's cards.

Battle Link
Pre-Battle Setup
Kelya v. Obsidian

With the addition of the Equal Opportunity ruleset I opted to go melee heavy and choose Kelya for the extra speed and armor.

CARD
WHY DID I CHOOSE IT?
Shield should help absorb some attacks and Retaliate should help get some extra attacks in. It's base low health will not give my opponent any extra advantage
Only costing me two mana and another low base health.
Zero mana and no health advantage for my opponent.
Six health, but void in case my opponent goes magic heavy
Seven health as my top health, but the high melee attack and Double Strike are key.
Hopefully my opponent doesn't use any Sneak monsters and Pelacor can sit safely in the back as my sole flying card.

Results

My opponent went with Obsidian and a magic heavy team which worries me. The good news for me is that their team is armor lacking and my melee attacks tear through them before the magic can wreck me.
