BATTLE MAGE SECRETS FOG OF WAR

This week, I'm sharing my battle playing Grandmaster Rathe on Fog of War ruleset. This is a convincing win so no plot twist needed. 😅

Ruleset:
Odd Ones Out
Tis but Scratches
Fog of War

Mana Cap: 28
Elements: Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon

Game Modifications

This is an Odd Ones Out ruleset game so only Monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.

Odd Ones Out

This is a Tis but Scratches ruleset game so all Monsters have the Cripple ability.

Tis but Scratches

This is a Fog of War ruleset game so Monsters lose the Opportunity, Sneak and Snipe abilities.

Let the battle begin!

Summoner: Grandmaster Rathe

Abilities:
All friendly monsters gain +1 armor
All friendly monsters gain Void Armor ability
Friendly monsters have Amplify ability

I chose Grandmaster Rathe because there's a high chance my enemy will play Magic and Ranged attack monsters so I will be using a magic reflect line up with repairs.
All the stats and abilities that Grandmaster Rathe will give my monsters will surely keep my monsters last long in the battlefield.
Cripple doesn't matter in this game for me since I relied on Repair instead of Heal.

Grandmaster Rathe

Pos 1 Monster: Silvershield Paladin

Abilities:
Shield - Reduced damage from Melee and Ranged attacks

  • Attack damage gets halved (rounded up), except attack 1 which deals 0 damage

If opponent chooses melee or ranged attacks, this ability will help with the durability.

Magic Reflect - When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker

  • Deals damage equivalent to the attacker's damage divided by 2, rounded up. The damage is reflected even if the attacker does not hit

I'm expecting some magic monsters so magic reflect will deal a lot of damage back especially with the Amplify from Grandmaster Rathe.

Silvershield Paladin

Pos 2 Monster: Chaos Agent

Abilities:
Dodge - Has an increased +25% chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.

Phase - Magic attack can miss this Monster (using the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks)

Chaos Agent

Pos 3 Monster: Enchanted Pixie

Abilities:
Flying - Has an increased +25% chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability

Inspire - Gives all friendly Monsters +1 Melee attack

Enchanted Pixie

Pos 4 Monster: Adelade Brightwing

Abilities:
Flying - Has an increased +25% chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.

Repair - Restores up to 2 armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage.

Resurrect - When a friendly Monster dies it is brought back to life with 1 Health. This ability can only trigger once per battle.

Immunity - This monster is immune to negative status effects.

She will make sure my Silvershield Paladin will last in the battlefield long enough to finish the enemy monsters with Repair and Resurrect.

Adelade Brightwing

Pos 5 Monster: Lone Boatman

Abilities:
Snipe - Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position

Repair - Restores up to 2 armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage.

He also has Repair so Silvershield Paladin can endure all attacks received.

Lone Boatman

Can't wait to see them in action? Let's watch the game.

Hope you learned something from my game and how I came up with this lineup.
