Playing Martyr on Explosive Weaponry

BATTLE MAGE SECRETS EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY

This week, I'm sharing my battle playing Quix the Devious on Explosive Weaponry ruleset. I was able to showcase here the best use of the new ability called Martyr.

Explosive Weaponry
Keep Your Distance

Mana Cap: 39
Elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Dragon

Game Modifications


This is an Explosive Weaponry ruleset game so all Monsters have the Blast ability.

This is a Keep Your Distance ruleset game so Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in this battle.

Summoner: Quix the Devious

Abilities:
All enemy monsters lose -1 ranged attack
All enemy monsters lose -1 speed

Quix the Devious


Pos 1 Monster: Djinn Oshannus

Abilities:
Void - Reduced damage from Magic attacks

  • Attack damage gets halved (rounded up), except attack 1 which deals 0 damage

Phase - Magic attack can miss this Monster (using the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks)

Pos 2 Monster: Venari Marksrat

Abilities:
Martyr - When this Monster dies, adjacent Monsters get +1 to all stats

I picked this monster to help Djinn Oshannus and Prismatic Energy gain all stats once it dies.

Pos 3 Monster: Prismatic Energy

Abilities:
Magic Reflect - When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker

  • Deals damage equivalent to the attacker's damage divided by 2, rounded up. The damage is reflected even if the attacker does not hit

Pos 4 Monster: Venari Wavesmith

Abilities:
Protect - All friendly Monsters gain +2 Armor

Pos 5 Monster: Swamp Spitter

Abilities:
Repair - Restores up to 2 armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage

Pos 6 Monster: Merdhampir

Abilities:
Life Leech - Monster's health increases each time it damages an enemy Monster's health in proportion to the damage dealt.

  • This ability works well with Blast as it can leech more health from the adjacent enemy monster.

Cripple - Each time an enemy is hit by a Monster with Cripple it loses one max health

Excellent battle, but, you should be much more detailed with the content, explain in detail how you thought your strategy to align your monsters.
