Ruleset: Keep Your Distance

Mana Cap: 25
Elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Life

In this ruleset, melee monsters can't be used.
Players would usually use a harmless monster in their position 1 since they have higher health and abilities that gives them durabilities or damage reflect.
This website even recommends it.

Summoner: Grandmaster Rathe Abilties:

All friendly monsters gain +1 armor
Void Armor- Magic attacks hit my monsters' armor before their Health.
Amplify - adds 1 damage dealt using Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns

All of these abilities combined make my monsters stay longer in the field plus deal more damage with magic reflect.

Grandmaster Rathe

Pos 1 Monster: Pelacor Conjurer

Abilities:
Flying - gives +25% chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
Magic Reflect - Reflects half (rounded up) of the magic damage dealt to this monster.
Divine Shield - Ignores any damage it receives. This buff is only good for 1 instance.
Phase - Allows this monster to evade magic attack as well based on its evasion chance calculation.

Pelacor Conjurer

This is the best tank, pos 1 monster in any low mana games for Keep Your Distance since it has a very high chance of evading attacks.
It also reflects half of the magic damage, making it even more useful.
Just beware of enemy monsters with Snare and Oppress as they can eliminate this monster easily.

Pos 2 Monster: Chaos Agent Abilities:

Dodge - gives +25% chance of evasion
Phase - Allows this monster to evade magic attack as well based on its evasion chance calculation.
Backfire - If an enemy monster misses an attack to this monster, the attacker takes 2 damage.

This monster can kill an enemy just by evading attacks.
With just 1 mana cost, this should be a must-have card for all players.

Chaos Agent

Pos 3 Monster: Defender of Truth Abilities:

Protect - gives all +2 armor to all my monsters

This ability is complementary to the Void Armor ability that Grandmaster Rathe gives.
This is effectively like having an additional +2 health.
Aside from giving +2 armor, Defender Truth has a high magic damage and speed for the 4 mana cost monster.

Defender of Truth

Pos 4 Monster: Spirit Hoarder

Abilities:

Triage - Heals the friendly back-line (not in pos 1 currently) Monster that has taken the most damage.
Dispel - When this monster hit an enemy, it clears all positive status effects on that enemy.
Blind - gives +15% chance of evading from all enemy monsters. This debuff can be removed from the enemy monster by removing their blindfold. 🤣

Spirit Hoarder

Pos 5 Monster: Magi of Chaos

Abilties:

Oppress - Does x2 damage when attacking harmless monsters

Magi of Chaos has high health and high magic damage. With 4 magic damage, he can erase a harmless monster easily.

This is a good pick in "Keep Your Distance" ruleset as players would most likely place a harmless monster in front pos 1.

Magi of Chaos

Pos 6 Monster: Grenadier

Abilities:

Oppress - Does x2 damage when attacking harmless monsters

Snare - When attacking enemies with Flying, removes the Flying ability. It also has true strike on flying monsters.

Blast - Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster. Additional damage is equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up

Grenadier

This monster is best used against Pelacor Conjurer and other harmless monsters as it can eliminate them easily.
Pelacor Conjurer can usually dodge Oppress monsters like Magi of Chaos, but not this Grenadier guy.
Unfortunately, we were not able to see him in action in this game.

Did your strategy work?

My lineup definitely worked. Yes I got lucky with my enemies' missed attacks on my Magi of Chaos, but high health paired with triage heal and blind evasion did it made my lineup successful.

What will you try differently next time?

🤔 I was thinking hard on this question, because everything worked well due their their excellent sync.

Do you like Magi of Chaos?

I like Magi of Chaos for its high HP and high Magic Damage. The Oppress ability is a bonus especially when I anticipate my enemy will choose a harmless monster.

Hope you learned something from my game and how I came up with this lineup.
What would you have differently given the same ruleset, mana cap and active elements? Let us know by dropping a comment.

thank you @pravesh0
Will definitely try to give more insights on my upcoming posts as I'm planning to post more Splinterlands strategy I have on my mind.

Grandmaster Rathe is an underrated Legendary Summoner for now, but I surely love playing with him.
He's cheap but powerful that can level the playing field against Untamed Legendary summoners.
I have high win rate using him.
We just have to pair him with monsters that have magic reflect, thorns, and return fire.

The previous post was the post I made for Sniping Dragons for last week's share your battle challenge.

I accidentally edited that previous post, because I was trying to make my latest post as my template for upcoming posts.
and now I don't know how I can get it back sorry.

This was the youtube video for the previous post:

I'll try to recreate that today.

Hello @cashheaven. I checked the edit history of your last post and it actually happened as you said. You can rest assured that mistakes like this happen, nothing negative will happen to you. Thanks a lot for the explanations!

This is just my 3rd entry joining weekly challenge and I know I have a lot more to learn and improve in Hive blogging.

I edited it in accident because I had a lot of tabs open when I did this 3rd entry.
I got confused, that's all. Nothing malicious of intently reposting duplicate articles ever came into my mind. This was an honest mistake and I did everything I could to redo my 2nd entry.

Just to be clear, am I disqualified to join the future weekly challenge of @splinterlands ?

Thank you @underlock .

@azircon
No it was not. I accidentally edited my last week's post
https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@cashheaven/share-your-battle-challenge-sniping-dragons
because I was trying to use it as my template for this post.
It took me longer to re edit that last week's post because I do not have the back up.

Here's this week's post:
