I never speak up on the forum, but I thought this post warranted a level-headed response. Do we really want to start new LP pools, especially when we are currently voting to remove rewards for existing LP pools? People only provide liquidity if there is incentive to do so, and we can't afford to give that incentive with an SPS payout due to its current rampant inflation/distribution rate.
Knowingly "exposing splinterlands to the memecoin community" sounds like a disingenuous was to encourage a pump and dump. I want my assets to appreciate as much as the next person, but driving in a pump and dump memecoin crowd will only cause long-term damage and instability to both splinterland's prices and reputation.
I hope the community makes the right decision and doesn't sell out for a 2.5k promotion fee. I get that we want to see the community grow, but not at the cost of the longevity of the game.
Is that what this is? Ill admit, I was more than a bit confused reading all this. I thought he was suggesting linking push to sps and dec as a burn reward token. As in if you burn sps or dec you get an equal value back in push. Which I had mixed feelings about. If your right though, then this definitely is toxic, and should be voted down. Also kinda thought it was like luna, and push was pegged to shove which was gonna be a stable coin.
No SPS distribution is being allocated to this. Only what community members voluntarily send to $PUSH
The whole point here is that the community is incentivized to support this and grow this in order to strengthen SPS and hopefully grow it to a meme standard that will catch the eye of the degenerate meme lovers from other communities. No SPS from the distribution will be used for this. It will be purely community driven. Hopefully this will grow and develop into much more than "just" a meme coin. Buying cards and hirering a Scholar definitely already sets it apart from most meme coins. Let's do this.
