Welcome to my another play2earn blog.In this blog, I am going to share my battle with the theme Earthquake.

It means in this ruleset non flying monsters have to face trouble. I was looking for an appropriate battle that I could share here. Finally I got it and the common factor was that both teams were using three flying ability monsters. Splinterlands season is also ending within 3 days. Previous season was a great one season for me where I claimed legendary and a couple of gold foils. I have pretty good legendary monsters from Soulbound that have only one card short to upgrade that into level 3. Yesterday I claimed my daily focus and got legendary but the monster that I want to upgrade could not get that. Now anxiously waiting for the season to end.

EARTHQUAKE

It is a fantastic rule set in which all non Flying Monster will take two Melee damages with the end of each round. There is maximum cards in dragon unit with flying ability but till now there is only one Dragon summoner Brithon Sloom that's provides flying ability for all monsters. It is a Dice edition Rare summoner in 4 mana.

LORNA SHINE AS MY SUMMONER

First I was thinking of using a Dragon unit summoner but being a “Are You not entertained?” ruleset , I decided to use Fire Unit with Lorna Shine. Actually I wanted to use Captain Katie, a Gladius magic monster with 4 magic attacks. Yes, with Dragon summoner I could use that but for that I have to sacrifice Divine shield from Lorna Shine. Beside it there was possibility to use one more low mana card as Lorna Shine is 3 mana Dice Edition summoner. Lorna Shine and Mylore Crowling are two fantastic summoner from Dice Edition.

BATTLE RULESET AND MANA

It was low Mana gameplay and I got only 27 Mana for the battle with Earthquake battle ruleset. I was thinking to use low health based the best monsters for this battle keeping the earthquake ruleset in mind. This time I decided to use only 3 flying ability Monster for the battle. Additionally I was using Gladius card Captain Katie in 27 mana gameplay.
For this battle three rules were applied. Only three splinters Life, Death and Dragon were active for the battle.

Are You not Entertained?
It means one can use a single Gladiaus card for the battle. Mostally be do not get a chance to use Gladius in normal battle.

Earthquake
It means Non flying Monster will take 2 Melee damages with the end of each round.
Taking Sides
It means neutral Monster will not be available for the battle and one have to battle without neutral monsters.

TEAM COMBINATION AND CARD PLACING
It was taking Sides ruleset, so one have to battle without neutral monster and also earthquake ruleset, so it was important to use flying ability monster. Dragon unit could be a better option as there is so many long ability cards but my priority was Holy protection with gladius card captain Katie that's why I given priority to Lorna Shine. I was using three flying ability Monster including 1 magic attack, 1 Melee and one Monster without attack. Rest of the Three monster were non flying. Single card from Gladius. It means I was using two magic attack, two Range attack, one Melee attack and one Monster without attack. I was thinking that captain Katie would be important in low mana gameplay. Below is a brief information about the Monsters that I was using in gameplay.

●CELESTIAL HARPY
●CAPTAIN KATIE
●PELACOR ARBALEST
●AIR ELEMENTAL
It was my battle squad with that I was against Dragon unit. The interesting fact was that my opposition team was also three flying ability Monsters.

PELACOR CONJURER

It is very effective Monster especially in low mana game play with magic reflect and high health. In short, it's the best card in my opinion. it is 2 mana card. It has `3 abilities`, including `flying` `magic reflect` and `divine shield` ability. In my opinion the best card here for Armored up Battle ruleset. It is because it has 8 health. My thinking was if my opponent comes with magic attack in low Mana game, then it could be helpful with magic reflect. In fact it is a best card in two Mana. It is most effective monster especially in low mana gameplay.

DAX PARAGON

This is very cute but very harmful Epic Monster from Life unit. This is a Magic attack monster with five pretty good health at level 5. At this level this Monster comes with two special abilities Amplify and Affliction. It is a rare combination having Affliction and Amplify in 2 Mana card. Anyways, I mostly use this epic monster due to its Amplify and Affliction ability.. In low Mana gameplay most of the players use magic attack cards, so I used this card thinking the same. Actually I wanted to help Pelacor Conjurer by using Amplify of Dax Paragon.

CELESTIAL HARPY

It was the last Monster that I was adjusted in 27 Mana in the form of Celestial Harpy . Actually it is a flying ability monster, so it is perfect in earthquake ruleset. In two Mana it is enough for 2 Melee attack and 4 health. This is a Rare Monster from Life unit that I was using 6 level. In earthquake battle rule set this is very useful monster with opportunity, flying and True Strike ability. It was the third two Mana Monster that I was using in low mana gameplay. It did it task very well.

CAPTAIN KATIE

This lady monster was the center of attraction for all as it is a powerful Rare Gladius card from Life unit. It is a magic monster and recently I upgraded it into level 4. Now I am getting four magic attacks, 3 speed and 6 health. At level 6, we get the same ability but one additional health and Redemption ability increases. It is a 7 Mana monster with 4 magic attack, snipe and bloodlust ability. I was using this Monster at 4th position. No doubt Gladius are the most powerful cards rather normal cards.

PELACOR ARBLEST

It was the third flying Monster that I was using in my battle squad. It is a rare card from Life unit. This is the origin of the Chaos Legion Edition. It is a 6 Mana Range monster with double Strike. It is a more effective card with General Sloan and Selenia sky. I was using level 6 of it and at this level this Monster provide to range attack 3 speed and 5 health. This Monster comes with two abilities double strike and flying. Actually I could not get a more appropriate flying monster that's why I given place in battle squad. Anyway it was a perfect team combination in 27 Mana gameplay.

AIR ELEMENTAL

Air elemental is one of my favorite card from Life unit. I have used this card at level 4, maybe that's why it is doing 3 range attack with 5 speed. It only costs 5 mana and has a total of 6 health. Dodge Ability has a higher chance of missing Melee and Ranged attacks. You will see that first couple of attack missed by the opponents card due to its Dodge Ability. Because it attacks range, it can attack from any position rather than the first position. It is a non flying card, yet I selected in My Battle squad. I placed it at the 6th position so that it can get more chances to attack and also can resist sneak attack of opponent team.

DID MY STRATEGY WORKED WELL? WILL I TRY DIFFERENTLY IN NEXT TIME?
When I got the ruleset “are you not entertained?” that time there was a single plan in my mind taking a single gladius monster Captain Katie. Actually recently I upgraded this Monster into level 5, so I was getting 4 magic attack. It was low Mana game play, so there was possibility to face low health base Monsters from opposition battle squad. If captain Katie able to destroy couple of Monster, then it will be Unstoppable. I was using just 3 flying ability monster.
For the first position traditionally I placed lowest mans and high health monster Pelacor Conjurer. To support magic reflect with Amplify, I placed Dax Paragon at second position.
And finally one flying double strike monster Pelacor Arbalest. You will see that when I was finishing the battle that time only to Monsters Pelacor Conjurer and Captain Katie were remaining. Captain Katie has increased it's stats by 6 magic attack. Despite Earthquake ruleset it was able to survive itself. So I can say that my strategy and plan worked very well.
