Splinterlands: Weekly Battle mage secrets submission with the Theme UNPROTECTED

Hello splinterlands gaming lovers!
This is my weekly battle mage secrets submission with the Theme UNPROTECTED
In unprotected battle ruleset mostly players like to use Magic and Range monsters but it was SUPER SNEAK ruleset too, so I decided to use sneak ability for Melee monsters.
To play in safe mode only one monster with magic reflect in the form of Lord Arianthus.

Rebellion pre-sales have already ended now it's time for general sale. Steel there is lots of day to go to start general sale. It means we have to wait more to open these rebellion packs. Meanwhile we faced a market crash. That's why there are huge differences between the price of splinterlands related assets and card value. It means it is a good time to invest in splinterlands. Anyway now let's have fun with weekly battle Mage theme unprotected.

UNPROTECTED

I like this ruleset very much because one can frequently use `Melee` monsters. Otherwise armor always creates problems for Melee monsters. Yes, there can be some relaxation with piercing ability summoner and monsters. With `Unprotected` battle ruleset, monsters are not going to get any Armor either from summoners buffs or from monster buffs.

MY SUMMONER

No doubt this time my priority was **Dragon legendary** summoner **Quix the Davious**, a range attack reducing summoner. I have already said that in certain ruleset player comes with different Monsters that's why I was not chosen inspire additional summoner. Beside it, I was thinking to use Quix the Davious to use some Dragon monsters like Djinn Chwala and Chaos Dragon.

BATTLE RULESET AND MANA

It was 55 Mana gameplay and Water, Dragon and Death element were active for the battle. It means one can choose high Mana monsters for the battle. Super Sneak, Close Range and Unprotected battle ruleset were applied for the battle. It means there was equal opportunity for Magic Range and Melee monsters.

SUPER SNEAK

There are so many Melee Monsters who do not attack from any position but due to **Super Sneak** ability they will be able to attack from any position. It means all Melee Monsters will get sneak ability and will target the last Monster of the team. But in current scenario mostly players come with opposite ability Monsters rather than **Melee** Monsters. Sure you will find magic and range attack monsters in the super sneak ruleset.

UNPROTECTED

With **Unprotected** battle ruleset, monsters are not going to get any Armor either from summoners buffs or from monster buffs.

CLOSE RANGE

Close Range also known as distance monster. In every splinter we get couple of range Monster but before Riftwatcher edition there was no any summoner who allows to use close range ability to the Monsters. There is only single Riftwatcher summoner FERNHEART from Earth Splinter who provides this ability. Now and days we are getting a such battle rule set in which we can use this ability and today's theme is also based on that.

TEAM COMBINATION AND CARD SELECTION

There was an opportunity for all kinds of attack due to the unprotected battle ruleset. For the first time I selected maximum Melee Monsters. Yet I try to balance the team by using a single magic monster. It was 55 Mana game play so there was plenty of option to use high Mana Monsters. The interesting fact was that I was using Three Monster with Demoralize ability in the form of Harklaw, Disintegrator and Legionnaire Alwar. The good thing was that my opposition team was also using four Melee monsters but no Demoralize ability monster. Mostly I do not prefer Melee Monsters in bulk but try to keep a combination of Magic and Range attack. In any Mana gameplay I prefer to use Lord Arianthus at first position. At last position I placed Djinn Chwala a Thorn ability Monster. So it was my team combination with that I was against a strong battle lineup.

LORD ARIANTHUS

This is my best and favorite card from Neutral Element. It's name is **Lord Arianthus**.However, this card does not have any attack abilities. It's a legendary card and I was using level 3. Its has four abilities of its own. Which is enough to win any battle. It's Shield ability, Void ability, Magic Reflect and Thorns ability is sufficient for a normal battle lineup. It is only five mana. There is one speed and it has a total of 8 health. I placed this card in the first position. With the Shield ability, it reduces the range and damage of Melee attacks from the opposition team. It's void ability, reduces magic attack. Due to having magic reflect ability, when a card attacks magic on it, it reflects and damages them.

LEGIONNAIRE ALVAR

It is one of the most useful Neutral Legendary monster from Chaos Legion unit. I wanted to use it's Demoralize that is why I placed this monster at second position. This monster comes with 9 armor and Void Armor that always help this for long lasting. I was ready for Melee attack of opponent. It's Demoralize ability provides extra protection for the fellow Monsters from Melee Monsters. Really it is a wonderful monster from Chaos Legion Edition.. Out of many abilities I like its Giant Killer ability very much. Overall this is the perfect monster with maximum ability.

DISINTEGRATOR

It was another Demoralize Monster that I was using with the combination of Harklaw. Actually I was a little careful taking Melee attacks in Super sneak ruleset that's why I given place to Disintegrator in the battle squad. It is a 7 Mana Melee monster from Neutral unit. At level 6, this common Monster provides Demoralize and Trample ability. Super Sneak was another ability that we are getting from ruleset. This common Monster comes with three Melee Attack, 2 speed 3 armor and six health, so it proved impactful for the battle. There was 4 Melee monster in opponent's battle squad, so just I was going to use it's Melee attack with Demoralize.

CHAOS DRAGON

This is a 14 Mana giant legendary monster from the Dragon unit. It is a product of Chaos Legion Edition. It's Mana is a little high but it was 55 mana gameplay, so it was adjustable in battle squad. This Monster comes with pretty good 10 health and 4 armor. At level 3 we get three magic attacks and 3 speed including scattereshot, flying, blast and blind ability. At Max level we get one more ability slow. It was the single magic Monster that I was using in super sneak ruleset. Most of the time I like to use this dragon legendary monster in high Mana gameplay.

HARKLAW

It is a Legendary Melee Monster from Death unit. It is also 8 Mana monster that provides two Melee attack, two speed, 3 armor and 9 health at level 3. I like this Monster very much because of it's Demoralize, Immune and Shield ability. It was the third Monster that I was using with Demoralize ability. I placed this Monster at 5th number, so that I can use its demoralize for a long time. To be honest, if I try to use maximum card with magic attack then it was possible that I could lost the battle as my opponent was using Phase ability monster front position. Demoralize Melee Monsters helped me alot to remove the impact of Melee attacks on the opponent lineup.

DJINN CHWALA

This is my all time favorite Epic Dragon monster. I have been using this Epic Monster since the beginning of Chaos Legion arrival. Mostly I like to use this Monster because of it's pretty good Armor, Thorn ability and Enrage ability. I placed this Monster at last position so that I can use its Thorn and Enrage ability. You can see it's thorn protested a lot and allowed chance to front line Monster to attack. It was a Super Sneak battle ruleset, so it's role was just Thorn to Melee Monsters of the opposition team and use Enrage to attack. With the combination of 3 Demoralize Monsters it proved a long lasting monster.

DID MY STRATEGY WORKED WELL? WILL I TRY DIFFERENTLY IN NEXT TIME?

Most of the time we see that player comes with different battle squad in certain battle rule set. If there is Melee Mythem or Super Sneak rule set then players come with the combination of Magic and range attack. I too do the similar things on most occasions. But this time due to unprotected rule set, I was fully in mood to use Melee monsters.
I was using 4 Melee monsters. Rest of two monsters, one was magic attack in the form of Chaos Dragon and another was Neutral Legendary monster Lord Arianthus without attack.
To support the front and lost Monster I was using Three demoralized monsters in the middle. To Thorn the opponent's attack, I placed two Thorn ability Monster at first and last position. This trick worked very well. Most of the opposition monster getting damaged again and again. When I finished the battle , there was a single monster that got damaged from my side. So I can say that my strategy and plan worked very well with perfect team combination and placing.

Yes, expectation was accurate and they came with maximum Melee attack. Now it was an easy task for me to dominate.
