This is my weekly battle mage secrets submission with the Theme Counterspell.

This week has been eventful for me.
One day before I joined Golem overlord and from previous evening I was looking for a battle with counter spell. I started my battle with 41 energy rate but when finished with counter spell battle just remained 5 energy rate. Meanwhile I able to reach 14 daily focus reward. You can easily understand how long I have to wait to get this battle rule set.
Anyway within 24 hour splinterlands gaming season going to end before it I want to make sure my strategy and plan. This time I am in diamond League³ with 47 season reward. I know well that there is no chance to reach in diamond League second. From previous three season making every effort but fail every time. Then I should happy with the League in which I am playing this time. Oh no brawl is also going to start tonight.

DO YOU READY FOR COUNTERSPELL?

It was a battle in which I dare to use three magic Monster in a Counterspell ruleset. Actually I was already hopeless to see opponent's max level summoner and max level monsters. It was Equalizer ruleset, so I did that because both magic Monster having Stun, Fury and Giant killer ability. Likewise I hardly miss Dr. Blight so I given place in battle squad. Three magic Monsters in Counterspell ruleset similer like hitting an axe on own feet.

BATTLE RULESET AND MANA

It was 40 Mana battle game rule set in which three rules were applied in the form of Broken arrows, equaliser and counter spell. Three Splinter Water,Earth and Fire were active for this gameplay. I was hopeless with the beginning to see the max level summoner and monster but I tried to put my best in front of strong enemy. It was Equalizer battle ruleset so I decided to use one monster with stun/Giantkiller ability and one monster with stun/fury ability.

COUNTERSPELL
This is another form of Magic reflect that we know as counter spell. There are few monster who has magic reflect ability but with this ruleset every monster get magic reflect ability.

EQUALIZER
With this rules at all Monster going to get Equalizer health from highest health base monster of both team.

BROKEN ARROWS
Recently we shared battle mage secret with broken arrows battle rule set.
It means Range Monster will not be available for the battle. One have to battle with magic and Melee Monsters.

TEAM COMBINATION AND CARD PLACING

It was 40 Mana Battle game play with certain 3 battle rule set. Three Splinter were active in the form of water Earth and fire. It was counter spell battle rule set yet my priority was using Three Monster with magic attack in the form of Djinn Inferni, Technowizologist and Doctor Blight. You can say it was an experiment with Stun ability. Two Monster with Melee attack and single card without attack in the form of Lord Arianthus. I was using Weapons training ability monster Ferexian Hero at second position so Lord Arianthus was also able to attack.
Fortunately my opponent was also using a similar combination with different Monsters. He was too using free magic monster with max level. Opponent's Cleanse and Dispel compelled me for comprehensive defeat. To be honest I was helpless against too many able to like Affliction, silence, dispel, inspire and Amplify.

This is my team combination with which I was in the Battlefield. No doubt it is a good combination against similar level Monster and summoners but it was a battle against high profile player so could not survive.

LORD ARIANTHUS

This is a legendary Monster from Neutral unit. I have remembered that with the beginning I am using this monster in every battle, in every ruleset. This legendary Monster is special because of its Shield, Void, Thorn, magic reflect. Sometimes I use this Monster at second last position especially against Melee attack because last position always reserve form Dr Blight. This Monster comes with eight health in five Mana that is really impressive.

FEREXIAN HERO

This is a great discovery from Soulbound. It is one of the most useful Weapons training ability monster from Soulbound reward Edition. Recently I got 3x gold Foil from daily focus reward and finally I upgraded it into level-3. This is Reach ability monster thats provides Reflect Shield at level-3. I placed this Reach monster on it traditional place to provide the attack ability to front monster Lord Arianthus by Weapons training. Actually from previous few battles I am using this Monster to get experience about Weapons training.

DJINN INFERNI

This is an epic Monster from fire unit. The role of this Monster increases in equalizer battle ruleset because initially we get low health with pretty good magic attack so there be chance to lose this Monster quickly. Pretty good four magic attack, Giantkiller and Stun ability make it great. Despite counter spell rule set I placed this monster in battle squad. Unfortunately my opponent was using Silenced and Amplify ability monster in Counter spell ruleset that made me helpless.

TECHNOWIZOLOGIST

I was looking for such engineer that can repair the tools that I broke in Battle against strong opponent. This is also a Epic monster from file unit with Fury and Stun ability. I was expecting a similar role from TECHNOWIZOLOGIST as I was expecting from DjinnInferni but everything was in Reverse mode. My strong aspect became my weakness. One thing I learnt that we should never underestimate any battle squad and we should try to follow traditional team combination.

CERBERUS

You must have thinking what was the use of three header doggy in second last position. Actually it was an experiment that I wanted to execute in this battle ruleset. Already it was broken arrows and counter spell rule set so there was much chance to use sneak ability Monsters in the team. I wanted to use it's relatiate ability along with heal that's why I placed it at 2nd last position. Unfortunately it was not like so there was no any Sneak ability monster in opponents battle squad.

DOCTOR BLIGHT

Is there something to explain about this legendary monster? I think most of the battle I use this legendary monster. This is my first priority in any battle rule set. Although till now I am not able to purchase this Legendary neutral Monster but throughout the season I continued rented it from rent market. I placed this Monster at last position to give enough chance for scavenger. Although it was Snipe battle ruleset yet I given place it in battle squad. This Legendary Monster comes with Affliction, Scavenger, Camouflage and Poison ability.

It was six round battle in which I never found myself in a comfortable zone. Actually the ability that I was using in this battle was against me in Counter spell battle rule set. No doubt I was battling against Max level Monsters and summoner so it was expected.

DID MY STRATEGY WORKED WELL? WILL I TRY DIFFERENTLY IN NEXT TIME?

First time I am going to say that my strategy and plan did not work well. I was with a pre plan in counter spell rule set. Using three magic Monster was a fetal decision for me. It could be much better if I got similar level player. Beside it my opponent was using the monster who has so many abilities. Like wise Max level we get maximum abilities while I was using just 3 level legendary summoner. Cleanse, dispel and Amplify ruined my team. I think one should try to follow the ruleset and try to choose team according to that if we are battling against strong opponent. If we want to make any experiment then we should try to against week opponent not directly jump into the mouth of lion. It was a lesson for me and in future I will try to choose my team according to battle ruleset.
