Today I am going to explore Martyr in opportunity ruleset. After Soulbound arrival, one can use Martyr and Weapons training to strengthen their battle squad. I too did the same thing and got unexpected result from that.

Till now I have just three card with Martyr ability. One from Fire unit Firecaller one from Neutral Venari Marksrat and one from Earth unit Fungus Flinger. I have upgraded Firecaller into level 5 and another 89x card in my game wallet.
Another is fungus finger that I upgraded into level 6 and more 47x card in wallet. Next one is Venari Marksrat that I upgraded into level 6 and have more 20x. These are three Martyr ability card that I use often.

FIRECALLER

This is a reward card from Soulbound edition. This is a 5 Mana common monster from Fire unit. At level 6 we get 3 Range attack and 2 speed. Its health is only four at Max level. At Max level this Monster provides four range attack and four speed with Martyr, Fury and Snare ability. Likewise low health is good for Martyr ability Monsters. The sooner it damages, the sooner it will benefit others.

FUNGUS FLINGER

It is another Soulbound monster with martyr ability. This is also a common Monster from Earth unit. It's mana cost is just 3 and provides two special abilities martyr and blind at this level. This common Monster comes with one Range attack and two speed including four health. At max level this Monster provides 2 Range attack 4 speed and 4 health. When we talk about its abilities then Max level, it provides three abilities martyr blind and Affliction.

VENARI MARKSRAT

I love this Rare Monster very much. Not because of its utility but because of it's lowest health. It is a neutral Rare Monster, so it is a very useful and can be used with any splinter. Till 6 level we get only one range attack with four health. At level 7 and max we get two Range 3 speed and 4 health. This rare Monster comes with three abilities. From 5 level we get Snare ability. At Max level we get Martyr, Snare and Shatter. Out of these three abilities, I like martyr ability alot. In this battle, I used two martyr ability Monster out of 3.

BATTLE WITH MARTYR ABILITY MONSTERS

It was 48 mana gameplay with three Opportunity, Unprotected and Earthquake certain battle ruleset. Four splinter Earth, Dragon, Life and Fire were active for this gameplay. I wanted to take the advantage of opportunity that's why selected two Martyr ability Monster between two effective monster. For this battle, I selected Dragon unit as my summoner. For this battle I was using two Melee monster, out of them one was double Strike monster Grund.
I was thinking if I able to put one Martyr Monster between Dragon Jumper and Grund and another Martyr between Dragon jumper and Chaos Dragon then it will be really effective. I did the same thing. Due to opportunity ruleset opponent's Monster targeted my lowest health Monster that were Fungus Flinger and Venari Marksrat. You can see that when martyr applied these three Monsters became more dangerous rather their real stats.

FIRST ROUND

First attack was started by Regal, a opponent's Magic monster after that one quick attack from my side by Dragon Jumper. These two Monsters having highest speed that's why they started first.
After that one more attack from my side by Chaos Dragon with blast. After that it was the turn for opportunity Monster Grund. With the double attack of Grund, opponent team lost their taunt ability monster.
Now it was turn for opponent's attack and they target at my lowest health martyr monster. I lost my first Fungus Flinger Monster and martyr applied to fellow Monsters. After that opponent's double strike monster Grund taken the charge and destroyed my another martyr ability Monster Venari Marksrat.
Now my monster Dragon jumper, Grund and Chaos Dragon have increased their stats due to sacrifices of two Martyr ability Monsters.
When first round finished my team lost two monster that were martyr ability monster.

ROUND SECOND

Second round started with the attack of Mycelic. No damage done. Earthquake applied and now it was turn of Dragon jumper that destroyed the opponent's Blossom. Now it was turn for Chaos Dragon with blast, reduced health by 3 damage. Now it was turned for Furious Grund who started with double strike and destroyed Mycelic. With the damage of Mycelic Trample applied and hit to Pelacor. After that two more attack from opponent side, no damage from my side.

ROUND THIRD

Third round started with earthquake that finished My Lord Arianthus. After that it was turn for Dragon jumper that destroyed opponent's Pelacor Mercenary. Lost monster was remaining from opponent side. Very first attack from Chaos Dragon finished the Grund and my battle squad won this battle loosing three monster, Fungus Flinger, Venari Marksrat and Lord Arianthus.

ABOUT STRATEGY USING TWO MARTYR ABILITY MONSTERS

I was thinking that it was a opportunity ruleset, so martyr ability could be effective in this battle ruleset as opponents Monster will target the lowest health of the monster. I deliberately placed high health Monster except these two Fungus Flinger and Venari Marksrat monster.
You will see that it was an effective plan that worked very well. They targeted these two Monsters and martyr applied to the fellow Monsters. With the attack and speed my team became more powerful rather than their real stats. Finally I can say that my plan was effective and it worked very well that's why in third round my team able to won this battle by losing three monster.
