Greetings friends who love handicrafts! Welcome once again to my Bricolage DC workshop. This time I would like to present you an artistic makeup inspired by Twisted Jester, a Splinterlands card that I really like. Join me in this creative process.

¡Saludos amigos amantes de las artes manuales! Sean bienvenidos una vez más a mi taller Bricolaje DC. En esta oportunidad me gustaría presentarles un maquillaje artístico inspirado en Twisted Jester, una carta de Splinterlands que me gusta mucho. Acompáñenme en este proceso creativo.

For this project I used black, white and red tempera, brushes of different thickness, acrylic gold paint, oatmeal soap, base and cinnamon colored compact powder, black eyeliner. White paper and black marker. Purple and black watercolor, a black headband, masking tape.

Para este proyecto utilicé tempera de color negro, blanco y rojo, pinceles de diferente grosor, pintura dorada acrílica, jabón de avena, base y polvo compacto color canela, delineador negro. Papel blanco y marcador de color negro. Acuarela de color morado y negro, una diadema de color negro, cinta adhesiva.

The first thing I did was wash my face with neutral oatmeal and honey soap that I got at the supermarket. This soap helps to keep the pH under control.

Lo primero que hice fue lavar mi cara con jabón neutro de avena y miel que conseguí en el supermercado. Este jabón que ayuda a mantener el pH controlado.

I then dried with a soft cloth and applied face cream to soften the skin and protect it from the paint. This is essential before starting the makeup even though the paints I use are water based and non-toxic.

Después sequé con un paño suave y pliqué crema para la cara, así pude suavizar la piel y protegerla de la pintura. Esto es fundamental antes de comenzar el maquillaje aún cuando las pinturas que utilizo son a base de agua y no tóxicas.

I applied a neutral base to protect the skin from the paint. And then cinnamon colored pressed powder to dull the shine.

Apliqué una base neutra para proteger la piel de la pintura. Y luego polvo compacto color canela para opacar el brillo.

With a black eyeliner, I marked the character's face and drew a spring on my neck.

Con un delineador negro, marqué la cara del personaje y dibujé un resorte en mi cuello.

Then I began to paint the entire background black, to achieve the effect of the head on the spring.

Luego comencé a pinta todo el fondo de negro, para lograr el efecto de la cabeza en el resorte.

I then painted the face white and added a crack detail.

Después pinté la cara de color blanco y agregué un detalle de una grieta.

With the gold paint I painted the spiral. I liked this color because it gives me the impression that it is an elegant spring. With the black background it stands out quite a bit.

Con la pintura dorada pinté el espiral. Me gustó este color porque me da la impresión de que es un resorte elegante. Con el fondo negro resalta bastante.

Finally I painted the mouth that looks like red threads and the eyes.

Finalmente pinté la boca que parecen hilos de color rojo y los ojos.

To make the twisted Jester's hat, I took the paper and drew it.

Para hacer el sombrero del Bufón retorcido, tomé el papel y lo dibujé.

Then I cut out and painted purple and black with the watercolor.

Luego recorté y pinté de morado y negro con la acuarela.

And I taped it to the headband.

Y pegué con la cinta adhesiva a la diadema.
