Splinterlands Diary: Renting More Cards

Another day, another Splinterlands diary.
Here's an update of what I did today:
First off, I did my Daily Quest as always which was rather simple since its a Snipe Quest. Then after seeing that I'm not doing too well on my battles, I decided to look at the market to see which cards I could add in my current arsenal.
Seeing that buying card(s) is not an option (the good ones are very expensive), I decided to rent instead. I started with the fire element cards seeing that I'm horribly lacking in that category.
Fire cards I rented:
- Molten Ogre
- Fineas Rage
- Efreet Elder
All of the aforementioned cards have good stats but requires a ton of mana especially the Molten Ogre with 9 mana requirement. Which mean that I could only use them in high mana battles. There are still good cards though and would surely expand the number of cards I could use.
The next cards that I rented are the from the water splinter deck, one of the deck that I liked to use the most.
Water cards that I rented:
- Sea Monster
- Axe Master
I re-rented the Sea Monster because the previous one had expired. Sea Monster is a really powerful card with the Heal ability, and is my go to card whenever I use the summoner Bortus.
Axe Master is another powerful card that can use range attack twice every turn -- allowing it to pick up weaker cards in the back row one by one. Like the Sea Monster, I like to use Axemaster every time I chooses Bortus as my summoner.
The last card that I rented is the Screeching Vulture. The reason I picked up this earth element card because it has two abilities: Opportunity and Fly. Opportunity allow the Screeching Vulture to attack the monster card with the lowest health while Fly allow it dodge melee and range attacks.
But what truly made the Screeching vulture such a good card was the fact that it only requires 2 mana. Yes, despite possessing two abilities, the Screeching Vulture just need 2 mana. The card's stats are weak though but its abilities and low mana requirement more than made up for it.
And that's the monsters I rented today. In the following days, I planned to rent more monster cards. Then 6-7 days before the season ends, I will try to get to Bronze I through renting.
Oh right... this is what I received from the loot chest today.

Four Credit... sniff!
Yeah, it's painful to look at. In the past few days I have received nothing good from my Daily Quest Reward. Seriously though... why are you doing this to me game?
I know this was done to stop bots from abusing the system but still... if I keep receiving the same reward every time I'll lose my motivation to do the Daily Quest.
Anyways, that's all for now. Thanks for reading.

Nice move towards renting cards that can get you better win rates. It's quite tougher now getting credits as reward.
I think you should try getting to silver with credit earnings and maybe Hive. Just a suggestion though...
Don't give up 🙂
Thanks, I'm actually just ranting about the abysmal amount of Credits that Bronze players are getting. As for building my deck to reach silver. I've power down my Hive Power for that very purpose. Oh yeah, for the airdrop too.
