Splinterlands Diary: Today I Bought Two New Epic Cards

My New Cards

So as the title say, earlier today, I decided to buy new cards. While looking at the market, I noticed that the price of two epic cards: Lava Launcher, and Djinn Renova, are selling for less than $2 each.

And since I'm in desperate need of good cards to help me with the rank battles and also, to increase my collection power, I bought the two cards.

With the current price of DEC, I've spent about 357 Dec for the two epics. It's possible that I might have over payed for the cards as the price could drop further tomorrow or the following days. But I don't think the difference wouldn't be that big so I don't really mind.

Moving To Bronze II

As mentioned above, one of the reasons I've bought the two epic cards was to increase my collection power. The reason being was because I wanted to move to Bronze II. And move I did.

With 1190 Power I easily got to Bronze II and it's thanks largely to my new epic cards. Of course my rented cards helped a lot too.

Personally though, I really want to move to the next league without having to rent but with the current prices of the cards, and without a substantial budget, that would be impossible.

So for now, I could only rent some of my cards while buying cheap cards from time to time.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading.

Moving up is important now if you want to earn from loot chests. I'm kind of mad because I enjoy bronze play. Im not skilled enough to beat silver lineups.

Yeah, I agree. I'm also kinda mad that to get good loot one must at least be in Silver III. But I also understand why the devs did it.

I understand to but it will kill the growth. It's a great game and will be great for a niche but right now it has mass appeal and I like that sort of thing. I'm hesitant about over investing. I think it will die down after the drop.

That's a valid point. I also think that many players (that couldn't invest in good cards) would quit after the SPS airdrop is over after what they did to the rewards in the Bronze league.
