Free to Play to Earn

One week ago I wrote an article on how I planned to maximize the amount of SPS I could get as a free to play player in Splinterlands. At the time of writing that article I was making .029 SPS a day. Now, fastforward a week and I am up to .039 SPS daily from the airdrop. This increase came from additional collection power and from holding additional DEC. Here are my updated numbers from last week.

Collection Power: 85 -> 95
DEC: 114 -> 164

Just by playing the game I increased my airdrop points by 60 points in one week! While this is not a huge jump, I am satisfied with that amount as I only got two common cards from my daily rewards and the rest were potions. With a little better luck I know that my collection power can increase by much more from week to week.

Another way I plan to increase my collection power is to spend the BAT I earn on Brave to buy cards. In one week I went from 1.098 BAT to 2.142 BAT. This means in a months time I will earn about 5-7 dollars to spend on cards.

The other way to make SPS that is not through the airdrop is to stake your SPS, and my staked SPS currently makes me .015 SPS per day. While that is a good little bonus on top of what I am earning through the airdrop I expect that number to continue to decrease as the APR continues to fall everyday.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone here who has liked my posts or reblogged them as that also helps me accumulate airdrop points. While these posts have yet to be factored into my airdrop as they only pay out weekly, they have been a huge joy to write. I really hope that you all enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them!
