My Experience With Monster Curator

Last Monday, I decided to put my SPT to work and create some PASSIVE income. Of course, I am pretty new to everything here on splintertalk and the HIVE so I just decided to dip my toes in the water and delegate 100 SPT Power to @monster-curator and this is what I think of my experience so far.

Daily Payouts

Monster curator pays out in SPT every single day! I noticed that this process starts at 8PM Eastern Standard Time in the United States, the when does not really matter so much to me but some people might like to know! The bigger question to me was how much and this is what I have earned so far (in chronological order).

I know that there are not very many data points to work with at this point in my delegation, but currently I am getting a return of .099 per day on average. Over the course of a year this equates to roughly 36.4 SPT back on my delegation of 100 which is a 36.4% return. I would say that a return at this rate is definitely worthwhile and I plan to delegate more SPT Power moving forward.

Future Plans

I am currently earning roughly .1 SPT per day and I would like to earn at least 4 or more SPT per day to create a slightly larger passive income flow. This requires me delegating roughly 40 times the amount I am currently delegating meaning I need to reach 4000 delegated SPT Power. I will slowly add some of my earnings from my blogs into what I am delegating as well as rolling the amount I am paid out back into the delegation on a weekly basis.

Final Thoughts

If you are just using the Splintertalk front end, there is no option to undelegate your SPT Power and at first I was worried I was stuck delegating this power forever. Then I went to hive engine and there is an option there that will allow you to undelegate your SPT Power if necessary.

This image is from my wallet in hive engine and the little folder icon is how you undelegate tokens.

Also, if you want to delegate your SPT Power it is very important to remember that you want to stake your SPT to YOURSELF and then you can delegate it to someone else. DO NOT make the mistake of staking your SPT to anyone directly as that is not a delegation and it is bye bye SPT as far as I know.

Again, you want to stake your SPT to yourself in the SPT section of your wallet shown below,

and then you can delegate it in the SPT Power section of your wallet as shown below.

Great post still learning this space and I find it really cool that the game allows for so many outlets for people to express themselves, learn, and provide value for the rest of the community at large.
