The Changes To Splinterlands DEC Earning Will Make Things Interesting
From now on, earning DEC is going to get a little harder. For the longest time, once you buy the Summoner's Spellbook, that meant you could earn DEC. But this leads to a lot of bots and if you think about it, the bar is quite low to earn an infinite amount of DEC.
So the change is that you will need to be at least in Bronze II to earn the DEC from ranked battles. That means you can't just use the starter pack and need to have at least 1000 CP before you can earn. Slowly, the requirements are getting raised which is a good thing for existing players. DEC prices should rise with less selling.
Today's rewards are pretty good and I finally got an alchemy potion in the daily rewards chests. Gargoya Devils are also a great card to use and I want to upgrade mine to level 5 soon.
I think less bots, less farming and DEC might gain a little bit. Howbeit, it also affects new real players as well.
Good point and it will for sure. The entry bar for Splinterlands is rising and it is still relatively cheap compared to Axie. Axie's not doing too well and seems to be collapsing so I hope the lessons are learnt.
I have face numerous bots in silver. I don't think does much to deter bot accounts.

Yeah the Silver bots won't be affected by this although a lot of the lower level bronze bots will. Maybe card rentals also spike up.
