Life Splinter - An Unpopular Destroyer

Ok so Let's get started with what we're here to do, then I'll be sharing my Battles with You Guys Using a Life Splinter Called Prismologist.

The truth is that I rarely Use the Life Splinter, and as much as I Don't Like Fire Elemental, I Use this Even more than I Use Life. And Honestly, I think this Applies to the Majority of Players.

There's a Little Trend I Noticed by Pure Observation - People who use Life Elemental Tend to Use it Continuously and Repeatedly, while the rest of Us who don't use it, Forget About it for the best parts.

What's more Crazy is that - Life Splinter is Actually Very Strong, Filled with Good Attackers and an Overall Well Balanced Team of Monsters. Right from the Base Set of Cards, You can Conveniently win Battles with Life Splinter.

Prismologist might be the Monster that will Introduce me to the Life Splinter while I try to Flex her in Battles. But the very first Monster which attracted me to Life was Pelacor Arbalest, with his Special Ability Double Strike which broke down some of my Defenses.

Prismologist - Overpriced in Mana Cost 😜

Don't mind me, I ALWAYS like to give a Funny Term to All Monsters I meet, and this One Seems Fitting for Prismologist.

Prismologist is a Life Splinter who Comes with +4 Health, +2 Shield, +2 Speed, +3 Ranged Attack, and Finally, Costs 8 Mana in Battles.

Prismologist.png

Overpriced in Mana Cost was the First Detail I noticed about this Monster, although I really Like Her Stats, she's Well Rounded with a Strong Range Attack, I just felt that her Mana Cap could be Slightly Cheaper.

Ability - Blast.png

Prismologist has Special Ability Called Blast: Which does Aditional Damage to the Monsters adjacent to the target monster.

All this Badass Stat Considered in One Almost Justifies her High Price in Mana, but Just! Again, her Small Frame doesn't help matters! 🀞

Using Prismologist In Battle

The Strategic Way in which I'll use Prismologist in Battle Includes:

  • In a High Mana Cap Battle, Since she can only be Lined up as a Supporting Monster, rather than Tank.
  • In the Last Position or in-between (to Maximize her Low-Speed Stat)
  • Against a Preference Elemental Team of Death and Earth NOT Fire(Fire Monsters are Fast), NOT Water(Water Monsters have Magic)

Sharing my Battle - Using Prismologist

Battle Details:

My Battle using Prismologist is against a Death Elemental Opponent who I've pretty much Clocked. He had been using Death Splinter in all of his previous visible Battle History and Seeing the Summorner at Work (Thaddius Brood), I was able to come up with a Solid Counter to his Strategy, as you'll soon see!. I'm fighting with a Life Elemental in a 25 Mana Cap.

Battle Lineup:

Check out my Battle Lineup where the Positioning of Monsters were all based on a Strategy. Let's Check it Out!

Monster/Summoner CardsComments
My Summorner's Choice was Mother Khala among the Two Available Base Cards, I Picked Mother Khala to offset the -1 Perk Distribution from my Opponent's Summorner.Mother_Khala.png
Herbalist.pngHerbalist was used as a Dummy Tank Monster since I will be using a Lot of High Mana Monsters and to also Include Prismotologist in the Line-up. Herbalist was a Good Choice because he Costs just 2 Mana, but Contributes good Ranged Attack.
Luminous Eagle is a Reach Monster that can attack from the Second Postion in the Line-up and that's where it has been Placed. I wanted to Profit from it's Good Health and Average Melee AttackLuminuos_Eagle.png
Truthspeaker.pngTruthspeaker was a Subtle addition to Distribute +2 Shield to all Monsters. This Aided me Greatly and Slowed down the Damage I took from the Enemy.
Prismologist is the Main Attacker that was placed in the Fourth Position to Offer Maximum protection and Keep her Long in Battle. it Worked out SplendidlyPrismologist.png
Stitch_Leech.pngStitch Leech is a Low-Mana Monster with the Sneak Ability, which will target Last Man Enemy Monsters. A Strategic Addition to the Lineup making up for It's Low Health in case it Dies Early in the Rounds.

Battle Walkthrough:

  • Our Battle Starts Intense, a lot of Blows being Dealth. The Speed with which I lost the First Monster in the Tank Position was Just Before Round 2, although His Shield Perk came in Handy making 2 Enemy Monster Strike before Going down. This Gives me an Advantage with the Next Round.

  • In Round 2, Luminous Eagle Starts on a Fresh Plate, I wasn't expecting her to Stall the Battle for too Long (that wasn't the Strategy here). For Instance, with a Super Fast Monster like Regal Peryton, that would be the Line I Take. All I expected from Luminous Eagle was to Deal Hits and Last Longer.

  • My Double Strategy with the Rear Position Monster - Stitch Leech worked Perfectly too, (1) He was Able to Take out One Monster all by himself before Getting Eliminated (2) And Eliminating him was Almost a Struggle for the Enemy Monster πŸ˜‚, even though Two Monster's were Targeting him, All Because of Shield Supplied.

  • Prismologist was AWESOME!!!, All the While She was Dealing Excellent Damage to Two Monsters at a Time, Her Strategic Position Aided me here (Zero Hits on her by the End of Round 2, when Stitch Leech had Finally been Eliminated).
The Best part is that, Her Blast Ability Deals Extra +2 Damage.

  • In just Round 3, Prismologist Eliminates Two Enemy Monsters in Just One Strike. This Attack alone, changes the Battle Advantage leaving it in my Favour. Before this Attack, The Battle Stood at - 3 Enemy Monsters to my 2 Monsters, After this Strike - 1 Enemy Monster and my 2 Monsters.

  • And Guess what?? ... The Next Strike is Taken by Prismologist and She Acts like a Double Striker Dealing Two Hits Against the Last - Standing Enemy Monster(Dhamphir Stalker), and Drains his Chunky Health. This was Enough to win me the Battle!! 😜

Additional Battle Comments

I really Enjoyed this Battle, I'm also Fascinated by the Agressive Attack of Life Elemental Ranged Attackers. Imagine, a Monster Dealing +5 Freaking Attack in One Strike???, That's Prismologist.
And F*** Yeah, She's ALL Worth the +8 Mana Cost and Maybe Even More!.
