Welcome Guys to a New Year ๐ŸŒ‘, as we Mark Our Entrance into 2023 with Our Favourites Hobbies in Blockchain, I'll continue to share Contents in the Weekly Social Media Challange Hosted by the Splinterlands Team, which give players the opportunity to get creative and share about their Journey In Splinterlands.

2023 is sure to bring a lot of new happenings in the world of Blockchain, Gamefi, and Metaverse, and maybe a Bull Run is just what we're all wishing for the Most!.
I mean, should this torture end already? ๐Ÿค”

Today, I'll share my thoughts on a Death Monster called Life Sapper, with a Special Ability called 'Life Leech' that could give a Double Advantage in Battle which many players fail to realize. Let's Get Started!

The Potential of Life Sapper.png

Life Sapper Stats - A Death Monster

Life Sapper is a Death Elemental Monster from the Chaos of Legion Card Edition, It is a Magic Attacking Monster that Comes with +1 Magic Attack, +2 Health, +2 Speed, and Costs just 3 Mana.

As u can see Life Sapper is not the Strongest Monster Around, I refer to it as Both a Low-Mana Cost Monster and a Supporting Monster. Life Sapper comes with just +1 Magic Attack and since Damage is the most Influential part of Winning Battles, he can be a Supporting Monster rather than a Main Attack Monster, but this works fine costing just 3 mana.

The Special Ability of Life Sapper provides him with more value;

Life Leech: This Monster's health Increases anytime it damages an enemy monster's health in proportion to the Damage dealt.

Life Leech's Ability is the ONLY reason that makes me Consider Lining up Life Leech in Battle, afterall his Health, is too Low and he can be Eliminated with just One Strike. But with LifeLeech he can Advance his Health early on in the game.

Situations I Use Life Leech - Limited

My Previous Understanding of How to Use Life Leecher in Battle has been Pretty Limited, Let me Explain;

I said earlier that Life Leech Ability can make Life Sapper extend his Health and Gain Enough Health to Last him through the Battle, just like an Average Health that most Monsters possess, ranging from 3 - 5.

Well, this is how my strategy with Life Sapper has always been, Focused on the Offensive, Focused on His Low Mana Cost in Exchange for Just +1 Magic Attack which is like Scraping for Crumb's ๐Ÿ™„.

For Example; I Majorly use Life Sapper in Battle with the Death Summoner `Thaddisu Brood.

The combination of this will be to Prevail against a Water or Magic Attack Team (I can Track this Frequently Using the Opponent's Battle History). Thaddius Brood can Lower the Magic Attack & Health of the enemy Team by ONE and this Gives an Edge to Life Sapper's being Able to Eliminate Faster (Lower Health of Monsters) AND Last Longer (Lower Attack of Enemy Monsters).

This has always worked for me in the past, but I Recently Discovered a Crazy New Way in which Life Sapper can be Used. It came about when an Opponent Knocked my Strategy in Battle Hands now with Life Sapper, Leaving me Stunned when I thought I had this Battle - So I Quickly Analysed this Strategy Which Can Turn Life Sapper into a Full-Blown Tank. Let's check it out!

Undiscovered Potential - Double Tank?

This Strategy means that You can get Life Sapper's Health so High, Above Average, that he can be Used as a Tank and Actually Stall the Battle for a Longer time.

This Strategy could work in a lot of Scenarios but it Also Depends on a Few Points like;

  • How High Did u Get Life Sapper's Health?
  • How Many Monsters are Remaining on Both Teams?
  • Are there Snipe/Opportunity Monsters in Enemy Team?

Considering All these Points, One thing that Would Always Work is- The Single Enemy Monster that is Attacking Life Sapper will Get Stalled.

Analysis of Using Life Sapper as a Double Tank from a Succesful Battle

What do I mean by Double Tank; This means a Second Tank Monster who protects the rest of the Monster Lineup after the Main Tank has been Eliminated.

Battle Analysis:
  • In an Average to High Mana Cap Battle (25), You can Comfortably Line up About 6 Monsters. This is the Basis of Getting a High Combined Attack with all Monsters AND also Providing a Good Positioning for Life Sapper.

  • Next, Place Life Sapper in the Fourth Position, to Prevent Attacks from Snipe Monsters who Target Monsters NOT in First Position.

  • What About the Crafty Opportunity Monsters? - Well, I did provide a Shield by Starting with a Dragon Summoner. So Just Use Dragon + Death in such a situation. Life Sapper is most likely to have the Lowest Health in ur Lineup, so a Shield could stall and help improve his health.

  • Depending on many Elements in your Specific Battle, you can most likely increase the Health of Life Sapper to +6 and above. This means that Life Sapper can Actually be Used as a Tank!.

  • How to Use Life Sapper as a Tank? - (1) By Placing Weakest Monsters in the Front without Worry (2) By Using Low Mana Monsters and Spreading ur Attack.

The Utility of this Strategy:

This seems like a High-Effort Strategy, meaning that it could easily go Wrong ๐Ÿ˜œ - But Once you get the Hang of it, You'll be able to Easily Replicate this in Many Battles, leaving the Enemy Stunned.

The Most Important point in Getting the hang of it is getting ur Details right, Being able to Read Between the Lines.

The Great thing about this strategy is that You will gain a Huge Advantage from Lining up Just Life Sapper and Spending 3 Mana on him, leaving u Enough for Other Attacking Monsters.

Victory in Splinterlands is all about Battle Advantages, the Team with the Most Advantage ALWAYS Wins. Life Sapper could provide a Huge Advantage with this strategy and that's all that Matters!.

What do you think About this New Stratey of Life Sapper? Can You be Able to Pull it Off?
