I am going to start this off with that I have been waiting for this since I heard about it on a Town Hall a few months back. I was completely surprised when it dropped the other day because I had fallen off the Splinterlands news bandwagon.

Modifying My Avatar

Here is the options I picked for my Avatar. I like the choices I made, but the possibilities are endless!

I spent way too long on the options here. I love the Fire Archons best but my favorite color is green. So I had to go Green and then pick Earth element for my Exemplar later. Also I figured picking the silver border was more accurate then picking the crazy cool borders. I want a Avatar that is semi accurate to my actual gameplay and account.

There are definitely more options to pick from and some are even for purchase in the shop!

I appreciate that the team allows you to pick from a decent range of options BUT also allows you to pay for more cosmetic upgrades. I am sure there will be more over time and that's good. Any good web based game and economy needs items that are purely cosmetic that are purchasable because it allows people to spend on things they want but don't give them a even bigger advantage in the game itself. So keeping it more #play2earn and less #pay2play.

Modifying My Exemplar

Now onto my Exemplar, the options are way more tricky. You are literally developing your own Splinterlands card and that pressure is HUGE! And let me clear here, I had no idea what a "Exemplar" was before this went live. So I had research it a little:

I decided that I would only go down the Melee route

I tried to have a decent Melee power and a decent Health with a non crappy speed. This is what I came up with.

Then I needed to come up with which Ability. I decided this unit would be best as a 2nd Unit card right behind a a Frontline unit with the "Flank" ability.

The mana was basically already set for me. So I am stuck with a stupid high Mana.. but I am worth it I think 😀

When it came to picking which badges to showcase... I didn't really have that many options haha. So I picked what I picked.

Final Thoughts

My Final Showcase! I am happy with what I came up with.

I am still undetermined on spending Glint on upgrading my guy. I think I will hold off because I rather use my Glint to buy Conclave Arcana Reward cards for now. I can always upgrade it later!

I have no Champion points because I am not that good of a player yet. But one day I will get there and I will showcase that as well!

Since I have 2 account I have to setup my other account's Avatar and Exemplar! He is nothing special but I wanted to go a little more crazy with him.

So I went a fast hitter and prioritize speed and Magic damage. My guy gives all teammates +1 speed and had a 4 speed himself. I think that is halfway decent!
