Land surfing and bots: could this be a new exploit?

(Edited)

A few weeks ago I posted a screenshot in Discord of a botter who had thousands of epic and legendary reward cards.

That’s nearly $10K in burn value, and these were only his epic and legendary cards...
As these are nearly unsellable above burn rate, I presume botters like this will look for a way to earn something with these cards. At the moment I can’t think of a better way than using them to surf on land.

Burn half for DEC to stake, you can squat on nearly 500 plots. And this is one botter account! There are more out there.

So I hope everyone will utilise their land as much as possible, and only let their guild members and new (human) players surf their lands.

This is also the reason I really hope there will be a toggle which can switch off squatting (or have the ability to kick someone out as soon as we find out it’s a bot).

Its true that land surfing will be exploited to fill every available space that can yield a profit, but its wrong to say that the problem is that some people have too many reward cards. If this person is smart they will sell what they need to sell (above burn value) and combine the rest into max levels to be used on land. It's better returns and lowers the chance of being kicked out.

Interesting screenshot, a few questions:
Does the account also hold large amounts of gold foil cards?
Are you sure they earned all of these from botting? Or did they maybe buy some of them?
How many other botter accounts hold similar numbers of cards? It can't be very many, since this account has over 2% of the total supply of some of those cards.

Although that is a lot of cards, it's actually only enough to "surf" on 425 land plots at max level. And that's only if they don't sell or burn any of them to get the 21.25 Million DEC they will need to stake on the land.

It's definitely a botters' account, cards were transferred, not bought. Thankfully this account doesn't have GF cards, I'm trying to find these, maybe I'll find a trail. This account does however have rare and common cards that can be burned for (at least part of) the necessary DEC for staking on land.

The main question is, how many other botting accounts are there that hold large amounts of cards (also lesser cards) and is there a risk they will exploit "land surfing".
