There are tons of info.. like beginner guides, how to do this or that.. different FAQ's.. how to do all kinds of things.
and if that ton of info found on the main splinterlands site doesn't answer a question, perhaps you could find what you're looking for on the splinterlands discord channel, or maybe on the splinterlands telegram feed.
As for me, I prefer to just sit back and watch vids. (reading is too much work and I read way slow, too)
so, I went to youtube and, of course, there are many many many vids about all kinds of splinterlands things.

when I was but a wee lad growing up in Ohio, the movie 'the Dark Crystal' came out. It was immediately one of my favorite movies.. although my mom says it gave me nightmares.. it's still good though.
This is a chart of USD/DEC (dark energy crystal) for as for as it goes back. today's price is just $0.0009 (what is that? like the 10 thousandths?) It seems to me that this is about where price stays mostly, but it did rise up before. to over 0.01 .. that is a 100X?.. I'll take some of that pls!
Yes, the price of DEC (dark energy crystal) is very very low.. which I see as a great time to buy some!
update: I just bought a bunch of DEC on hive market.
I haven't been this excited about a game since first learning to play the OG card game.. Magic: the Gathering.

DEC is reformulated as a stable coin with a soft peg.
It's price is supposed to 1000 DEC = $1
That is the peg.
The historical price in the chart does not matter, as it was not pegged then.

I recommend buying some CL (Chaos Legion) cards. Or you can rent a deck for cheaper for a season and play.

Splinterlands is awesome! I was there from the kickstarter when it was just an idea.
You're great at the Battle Cads game so I think you'll also be good at Splinterlands even though there are a lot more rules and you never know who your opponent will be, or what cards they will play against you. So there are a lot more losses but I guess that can be motivation to improve your cards. I hope you have fun in there!
yea! so much variey of cards and rules.. and then there's the renting cards.. land.. just a lot. :P
but the battles are also very fast, so at least that doesn't take like an hour per game as is common with magic the gathering..
or i think the easy battle on metabots and frog game has also spoiled me already. :P
You came in at a very good time, when all the hype has died down and cards are cheap (i.e. Chaos Legion). The spike that you see historically for DEC was during the hype period (i.e. Axie, NFTs) and there was an oversupply of cards due to overly optimistic assumptions.
Now, I believe the SPL company has known better. Welcome aboard!
