This Week The Crypt Beetle
When the battle first began I thought I had truly lost before it began as the Mustang Unicorn is a very intimidating monster. This is a low mana battle giving me only 13 mana to work with so this is not a very big battle but it was still kind of cool.

Crypt Beetle is Death Splinter
At only 3 mana the Crypt Beetle is perfect for low mana battles because of the Shield ability. With shield the Crypt Beetle has a greater chance of not being hit by melee or ranged attacks. This monster is also great for battle rules where the slowest go first or where all monsters’ life is equal to the monster on either side with the highest amount of health.

3 Mana Death Summoner
The summoner I chose is Owster Rotwell because he gives all friendly monsters the magic reflect ability. This summoner is great for battles that are stacked with magic attack monsters. You can see how the magic reflect ability really helped my backline defend against the attacks.

The Battle
The opposition was a lot faster than my team so the Mustang Unicorn attacked my Cursed Windeku first but the thorns’ retaliation left its mark. Then it seemed to end before it really began the other side managed to kill my Cursed Windeku, but used all of their resources in doing so and both monsters on the other side died.
The Line-Up
The first inline is Cursed Windeku because of his thorns defense, so now whether the attack is melee or magic Cursed Windeku can give as good as he gets. In the second position, I thought Crypt Beetle would be perfect because of his shield ability. The third and last position is Carrion Shade.

Thorns plus magic reflect seems to be fairly deadly. It's a good combo.
That is a great combo. Have you noticed any summoners other than Scarred Llama being banished in the rules in some battles? Every time I see that rule it is always Llama, so I was just curious 😀
