Splinterlands | Bulk Renting: Is it worth it?
As we all know splinterlands rental market is very volatile. So in dealing with these changes most people have their own strategies. So today I will share my experience last week when I tried bulk renting for 5 days!
Planning
I started this when I only have 700+ rating, bronze 2 rank then ended up to Gold 1. My plan would be to rent a single splinter for 5days, in my case I chose water, this will be my base deck for battle. Then everyday I will wait for my daily quest to refresh out and rent the necessary splinter do the quest. With this I can grind while still doing my daily quest.
This is the starting numbers I have. I totally have 4134Dec after the initial bulk 5day renting.
Not Much but honest work
Dailies
After having a single built splinter I waited for the daily quest to refresh and then rent what I needed to finish my quests. The quest randomizer is kinda not on my side because I get different splinter quests each day excluding the last day. So everyday I need to rent a new deck to build to finish my quest.
You may have noticed that I started low, that's because I've done my quest on bronze rank so I didn't rent much for that day. The last day is also low becasue that's when I got the repeat LIFE QUEST and only rented for power to reach the Gold1 rank for an additional chest. 840dec total for the daily rents I've done for 5 days, I think it's pretty normal.
GAINS!!!
Now after all that chatter we all need to talk about the GAINS! All the work we've done, do we get rewarded?
This is subjective to every user or player around but for the sake of numbers, yes we did have GAINS after the 5days of those grinds.
The table shows daily earnings of mine, that is clean of rents already. Its's not much because I don't get to grind the game but if you can be a little more active than me then I think these earnings would be a lot bigger and bulkier.
You can totally pump up those numbers if you play more than me. My ECR never came below 80% if I'm correct for the span, and the last couple of days I didn't get to play much that's why there is a dip in earnings there. So this numbers is really up for some corrections.
But good thing is that DEC is not the only thing you've gained during the battles. We still have the chests. This is where you will most likely get the better gains if you're like me.

Is it worth it?
Yes! With the latest update of the game where rewarding is now better balanced than before, even not getting a legendary or gold foils is still worth a shot. Getting around 50dec per game is totally a win. Casually playing and earning about 250dec in average is a win. Getiing a legendary while doing this? IS AN ABSULUTE FRKNG WIN
Would I do this again? Yes. Why? This is really an easier approach than doing the daily rents of at least 2 splinters. It also is quicker, it saves your time on renting and more on playing. It makes management easier. Also I'm quite lucky because not a single card I rented for 5days is cancelled.

PS: This is much suited for players like me who doesn't have that much collection power and rely on renting.
