Happy New Year to everyone in my favorite community! As you know, I am from Venezuela, and due to the events in my country, I have been a little lost, but I am now resuming my activities and content creation, so I am back! I am also returning to the Spinterlands Art Contest, so you can start creating your works now.
But, getting back to what everyone is waiting for, today I want to talk to you about a card that I am totally in love with because of its design (like all the cards in Splinterlands, haha); and its ability to wipe enemies off the map in the blink of an eye. It's Cloveria Morth'lana, an Epic unit from the Life Splinter belonging to the Arcane Conclave set, so as always, in this post I'll tell you why you should have it.

Electric Beauty: Its Visual Appearance

The first thing you notice when you see Cloveria is that she is no ordinary archer; she is an "Elven" master who seems to merge with the very energy of her element and the skills she possesses. She wears a black hood and a golden suit with leather accents, exuding an air of mystery and lethality. What fascinates me most is the dynamism of her pose. although it is a little confusing due to the other elements she has. She is surrounded by purple energy and lightning bolts that seem to emanate from her own bow, which is her source of power.
His arrows are not made of wood, but of pure heavenly light and electricity, which tells us that he not only shoots, but also punishes with what appears to be the power of lightning, so this is undoubtedly one of the most vibrant and powerful illustrations in the entire "Splinter of Life" deck. Finally, she has golden hair that matches her clothes, but when you see her, at first glance, she is always ready and determined to attack.

Abilities and Statistics

Cloveria is a Range Attack card, also known as a Range card, with a cost of 7 Mana points, but be careful, you have to protect it a lot because it has very little life, although I can say that it more than makes up for this with its damage and abilities. However, we must be very careful with the position we give it on the field, as it is crucial to take this into account in order for it to be effective and for us to be able to take advantage of it.
| Statistics | Level 1 | Level 3 | Level 6 (Maximum) | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Attack (Ranged) | 3 | 3 | 4 | His actual damage is much greater due to his abilities! |
| Speed | 3 | 3 | 4 | He's agile, but he prefers to attack from the shadows, so yes, he has very good speed. |
| Armor | 0 | 0 | 0 | It has no shield, but relies on its ability to camouflage itself. |
| Life | 3 | 3 | 3 | Be careful! It is very weak in terms of health points, so positioning is important. |
Recharge [From Level 1]: Cloveria takes her time to aim, attacking every two turns, but when she does, her damage is multiplied by 3. It's like an electric cannon shot, so the damage she causes is extremely strong, basically 12 damage points at maximum level.
Ambush [From Level 2]: With this skill, you can perform an extra attack before the first turn of the battle begins, which is extremely advantageous in battle. In fact, it can be said that it is one of the most useful skills in the entire game.
Camouflage [From Level 3]: This ability is really important, as she only has 3 health points, this ability is vital, as it prevents the enemy from attacking her directly unless she is in the first position, making her last longer on the battlefield even with the little health she has. She may be weak in terms of health, but with this ability she can withstand much more on the battlefield.
Double Strike [Maximum Level]: This is where it gets crazy, because it attacks twice each turn it's your turn to shoot, so even though it attacks every 2 turns, it can actually cause up to 24 points of damage at its maximum level in a single turn, something never seen before.

Best and worst rules for using it

Cloveria is an elite "sniper." You have to know how to position her so that her low standard of living isn't a problem, as I mentioned before.

Equalizer: This is the best rule for her, since Cloveria only has 3 health points, and under this rule her health will increase until it equals that of the monster with the most health on the field. This eliminates her only major weakness and turns her into a rear guard tank with devastating damage. In fact, she would become the most dangerous card in any lineup.
Blood Moon: By granting Bloodlust to everyone, Cloveria can become unstoppable. With her enormous Recharge damage and Double Strike at maximum level, she is very likely to eliminate enemies and start gaining extra stats each turn. So if her maximum damage was 24 points, imagine what she can achieve with Bloodlust—it's completely insane.
Odd Ones Out: With a cost of 7 mana points, Cloveria is one of the strongest cards you can use when only monsters with odd mana are allowed, and of course if your mana allows it.

Noxious Fumes: One of the worst rules to use, with only 3 health points, the poison will eliminate her on the second turn without her being able to do almost anything.
Earthquake: As with the previous rule, you should also skip this one, since our "Elfa" cannot fly and has very little health. The earthquake will eliminate her in just a couple of rounds if you don't have someone to shield her or heal her constantly, or failing that, grant her the "Fly" ability.
Fire & Regret: All units gain the ability called "Return Fire." Because Cloveria strikes with brutal force, the damage she will receive in return will be so high that she will likely eliminate herself on her first attack. Therefore, you should avoid using her in this rule at all costs.

Conclusion

Cloveria Morth'lana isn't for everyone. It's a card that requires intelligence and skill to protect, but the visual and strategic rewards are incredible. Its effectiveness rate is extremely high when you manage to keep it alive through the first few turns, turning it into an energy machine gun that can win the game on its own.
If you love the Life splinter and are looking for a card that represents feminine strength, the agility of an "Elf," and electrifying destructive power, Cloveria definitely needs to be in your deck.
With nothing further to add, until next time, "Splinterlords."
