The "Escalation" Edition Conflicts Are Coming—Here's Everything You Need to Know

The "Conclave Arcana" Conflicts have officially ended, distributing 9 incredible, rare, and powerful cards via "Airdrop." However, we've reached a new level, and this is the first time a "Mini Edition" of one of the main editions has had its own "Conflict." and this is the case with “Escalation,” one of the best “Mini Sets” released in recent years by the “Splinterlands” team, which features very powerful cards that will surely bring us extremely useful cards on the battlefield and will likely be quite valuable on the market.
That’s why it’s time to update those posts where I explain how to participate in battles, with the goal of explaining everything you need to know to participate, how to earn those necessary points that will guarantee you one or more “Airdrop” cards, and where you can acquire important and valuable “Archons”—formerly known as “Summoners”—with the intention of building incredible strategies around them, which also promise to be quite disruptive and versatile with their abilities and the way they’re used.
So, if you want to know how to participate and how to earn “Airdrop” cards by completing challenges in the “Mini SET” of “Escalation,” read this post all the way through—it will definitely help you understand everything you need to know to succeed:

What are the “Requirements” for participating?

Okay, to get off to a good start, I’m going to explain the requirements everyone needs to keep in mind to earn cards from the “Airdrop.” These requirements are very similar to the ones we already know and to how these “Conflicts” work, so some of you may already be familiar with how they work. However, if you’re a new player and have no idea what I’m talking about, you should keep reading because you can earn some great rewards:

Requirements

Eligible Cards: This is one of the most important requirements for participating: in each “Conflict,” you need cards to take part and earn points. However, not just any cards will do—for this conflict, you need cards from the Escalation “Mini SET,” and you can also use Escalation promo cards. The number of points you earn depends on how many cards you use.
Packs: Another way to earn points is to buy "Standard" Escalation packs and place them on conflicts; you don't need to open them—simply placing the packs will also earn you points.
Mage Wagons: At a minimum, to get started, you’ll need one “Mage Wagon” to hold your cards or packs for the event, or, if you don’t have one, two “Wagon Kits” to build a complete one. Obviously, the more “Mage Wagons” you have and the more cards you add, the more points you’ll earn and the more cards you could win from the “Airdrop.”
Repair Resources: One thing that happens to wagons after conflict rewards are distributed is that they get damaged, which means you need resources to repair them. The resources you’ll need for this include (Wood, Stone, Iron, and Aura) and/or Wagon Kits for repairs, as I mentioned earlier.
Note: Participating in “Conflicts” isn’t free; you need to invest in everything I mentioned earlier—whether it’s in wagons or, of course, in the most important thing for earning points: cards or packs. Without this, you won’t be able to participate, and you won’t be able to win these super-valuable cards, which will be distributed via “Airdrop” based on the points and contributions you’ve made in the “Conflict.”

How "Conflicts" Work

For those who didn't understand me or aren't sure how this section works, I'll explain step by step how to do it. Although it's extremely simple, we may have some new players who don't understand how it works, so I'll explain it as simply as possible.

How can I access and participate?
- The process: This begins by placing your cards and packs in the “Mage Wagons.” However, what I didn’t mention earlier is that each wagon has a strict capacity limit: you can only place up to 5 cards and 100 packs in each one. This is important because you only need one to participate, but if you want to win, you’ll need more than one.

The Scoring System:
As I mentioned earlier, points determine your chances of earning rewards, and the calculation is very simple and works like this:
Regular or Gold Foil Cards: What determines your collection power, which is equivalent to your points.
Black Foil Cards: Basically, it also adds to your collection power, but it's multiplied by 0.6.
The Packs: Finally, each pack is worth 125 points, which is great, but, as you can see, the rarity of the cards matters a lot, since it determines the strength of your deck and, therefore, your points. That’s why you can’t just use any card if you want to win.

Rewards and Airdrops
Tickets for the Airdrop: To win at least one ticket, you need 100,000 points, which means that the more tickets you have, the better your chances of winning 1 card.
The Odds: To help you do the math, each entry has a 0.003% chance of receiving at least one card.
The Warranty: If you get at least 325 entries, you're guaranteed a spot in the draw.
Damage to the Railcars: As I mentioned earlier, for every card you receive in the “Airdrop,” one of your train cars will be damaged, so you’ll need to manage your resources carefully if you want to participate in all the “Conflicts.”

Conclusion

With all that in mind, these “Conflicts” will introduce 6 new cards released via “Airdrop,” and I’m sure they’ll be quite useful and powerful, which will undoubtedly change the META. On the other hand, you might think that’s a lot of entries just to get a single card, but keep in mind that each “Conflict” lasts 30 days—they’re monthly—so you have plenty of time to collect points.
I hope this post helps you understand how it works. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment.
