The great power of the "Protect" skill and the great defense of my "Dragons" 🐲

It has been several weeks since I have done a battle challenge fighting with some of the dragons that are in my deck of cards, although I must say that, I really usually fight a lot with the "Splinter de Dragon", especially if I have to climb in the "Ranking" and be able to climb to the top of the leagues, however, even though I always highlight in my post the great offensive that these mythical creatures so powerful and so useful in the universe of "Splinterlands" possess, I have not detailed the great defensive that they possess, which is just as important as a strong and lethal attack related to dragons.
Based on this, in this opportunity I intend to explain a strategy where I focused specifically on the defense of my monsters, since the cards and attacks of my opponent were really powerful, but it was thanks to my strong defense, that I could be victorious in the battle, besides using a specific ability that increases the shield of my monsters and consequently their great defense on the battlefield, something that was crucial, to be able to resist a large number of attacks from my opponent.
Before continuing with what was my alignment and strategy for this battle focused on the "defensive", I will detail and explain one of the skills that I sometimes use to protect my monsters...
Previously, I focused on highlighting the "Speed" and how it helps us to have a lethal offensive, in order to greatly increase our chances of winning. In this opportunity, my approach will be different, since, many times in the "Raking", you find yourself with users with a much stronger attack power than yours, even if you are in the same league, so, if in a hypothetical case, we decide to face our opponent with a frontal offensive, knowing that his is stronger than ours, the chances of winning, really decrease significantly and we would surely lose.
For this reason our approach must be different, that is why defense is our best option to have a chance of winning, this is where the ability called "Protect" comes in, which focuses on providing all the monsters on my side of the field, +2 points in shield, which will sound useless at first, However, this changes if we place cards with an average strong attack, between 2 and 3 points, but that have a large number of shield, exceeding at least 5 points, so, most of our cards, or at least our tank, would have +2 additional points, giving it a total of +7 points.
So, taking this into account, "Protect" is an excellent ability to which we have to resort when we observe that our opponent has an attack superior to ours.

My battle was focused on defending myself, since, the alignments that I observed of my opponent, I realized that he had very good and powerful cards of all kinds, both in "Offensive" and "Support", taking into account that, his attack was focused on attacking at a distance, Knowing this, my strategy was to place at least 2 cards in the first positions with a great shield, so that they could resist as many rounds as possible and focus the rest of my attack mostly with "Magic Attacks".
For this I used my powerful "Delwyn Dragonscale", accompanied by two of my strongest dragons in "Shield", a powerful, sneaky attack, a support card, to be able to regenerate the life of my cards when suffering damage and a card that would increase my defense with the ability "Protect", which was crucial for my "Battle Tank" to withstand as many rounds as possible, while the rest kept attacking.

Delwyn Dragonscale
One of my favorite summoners of the "Dragon Splinter", since it gives me a much stronger magic attack power, something that I like a lot, since, depending on the rule, some of my strategies focus on making attacks that have as main target the life points of my opponent's cards. Delwyn helped me a lot, since I knew that my opponent had a theoretically stronger "Range" attack power than mine, so I had to focus on quick damage, while defending myself.
Robo-Dragon Knight
This is one of my best tanks belonging to the "Dragon Splinter", having with it something I needed for this specific battle which, of course, is its great defense, all thanks to its fabulous +8 points in shield, which would become +10 points, thanks to my card called "Silvershield Sheriff" and its "Protect" ability. On the other hand, the resistance of my Robo-Dragon is increased, with its "Divine Shield" ability, giving me an additional round of attack and much more time to defeat the powerful tank of my opponent, which, when defeated, would surely get the victory.
Diamond Dragon
My powerful and majestic "Diamond Dragon" will ensure me to resist much longer on the battlefield, thanks also to its powerful defense, even superior to that of my "Robo-Dragon", since it has a powerful +10 shield points that, thanks to my "Silvershield Sheriff", will become +12 points, which will slow down my opponent to defeat me and go directly for my strongest cards in the offensive.
Sand Worm
From this point on, my powerful offensive begins, starting with my "Sand Worm" and its powerful +6 melee attack points, which ensured me to at least weaken his "Bottom Line", taking into account that the battle rule "Aim True", would allow me to hit all melee and ranged attacks on the field, all this thanks to its native ability called "Sneak" that allows me to attack directly to the last card in the formation of my opponent.
Djinn Renova
An essential card in my formation, since it increased my defense and protected at the same time all my cards in the field that were as close to it as possible, since thanks to its "Triage" ability, the monsters with battle damage adjacent to my Djinn Renova, would get a health regeneration every turn if they suffered any kind of damage. On the other hand, her 2nd ability called "Strengthen", allowed me to grant +1 additional health point to all my equipment. In addition, its +4 magic attack points, thanks to my "Delwyn", make this card not only a support card, but also a card with exceptional magic offense.
Silvershield Sheriff
One of the key cards in my opinion, since thanks to its powerful ranged attack power and speed, I was able to have a pretty competitive offense, however, my intention and/or direct focus with this card, was to be able to protect everyone on my side of the field with a shield on, which gave enough resistance to my "Tank" and his backup card in the 2nd position, to decrease the damage as best as possible.
Spirit Miner
My opponent really had cards with incredible "Range" attack power, monsters with really powerful support and offensive abilities that made his "Flesh Golem" a hard wall to defeat if he would have attacked otherwise. The surprising thing about my lineup is that my opponent did not expect me to go with a powerful magical attack, accompanied by a powerful defense against "Melee and Rango" attacks, this automatically increased my chances of winning, since, as my "Robo-Dragon" and "Diamond Dragon" lasted much longer on the field, the rest of my team would sooner or later defeat my opponent's powerful combination commanded by his "Flesh Golem and Spirit of the Forest".
