The importance of thinking with "Strategy" in a battle 💪

I am always sharing battles where I show different strategies with epic battles full of power and strength on all sides, however, I have to emphasize that not everything is brute force, regardless of the amount of mana we have available for the battle, because if we think strategically and use the skills that monsters have in a scenario in our favor, we will surely get a significant advantage and we would need only one card to defeat our opponent.

In that sense, in this opportunity I will bring a strategy to win with only one card and that can also serve us for battles with very little summoning mana, this is essential, since the most complicated battles we have are often constituted by very low mana, in addition, new players at the beginning do not manage to manage very well when this scenario is present, so this post is especially for those users, although, it may also serve for those who are more experienced and have never put into practice the same.

Before proceeding with the explanation of the strategy and why I decided to highlight this battle, I will explain the card that made me win thanks to its abilities and that in summary was decisive for my strategy:

This card is an incredible addition to the "Water Splinter", as their abilities work very well together because, through them, you can provide great protection to the entire team on the field with just this one card. However, I will start by detailing it from the basics so that you understand its potential. To begin with, this is a "Rare" card of the new edition of "Chaos Legion", being mainly a "Support" card for the whole team in the field as I already mentioned, of course, all this thanks to its abilities, on the other hand, it does not have any attack power, being this a pure support with all the extension of the word, having this clear, its main statistics are the following:

  • Mana: The mana required to summon this card is only +3 points, something great because it can practically adapt to any battle alignment.
  • Life: It has +3 life points at level 1, but it can reach a maximum of +5, taking into account that, at the last level which is level 8, its life points drop to +4, because its speed increases.
  • Shield: This card has no shield, but it can be granted by the new rare summoner called "Kelya Frendul", which is the one I recommend to play together with this card.
  • Attack: It doesn't have any attack power, since its function is to be a "Support" for the whole team, but, in my opinion, it doesn't need it, since its abilities can do an excellent job.
  • Speed: This is one of the most important characteristics in any card, since it can determine many results in battle. Mainly, this card starts with +2 speed, but in its last level it can get a maximum of +4 points, which protects it, since it can dodge some attacks that may be given to it.

Taking into account its statistics, we realize that it is not an essential card for the offensive, but it is essential for the defensive, both for itself and for the whole team that is next to it on the field, highlighting that we must place it in a place where it is protected from the attacks of our opponent, especially those who have the skills of "Sneak and Snipe" that focus on the last card placed on the field and also on those who do not have any attacking power. On the other hand, and to finish the description of this card, I will detail the abilities that it obtains through all its levels:

  • Tank Heal: A basic ability, but very important for a card that is of the "Support" type in the game. It focuses on regenerating the life points of our chosen tank each round that passes, something really useful for those strategies that are based on the protection of our tank, as in the case of this strategy that I will detail in another section later.
  • Repair: This is an amazing ability and if I am not mistaken, it is the first card that has both "Tank Heal and Repair" in the same card. So, "Repair" focuses on repairing the shield of those cards that have suffered the most damage to the shield, so if one of my cards suffers great damage to the shield, even leaving my card unprotected, my "Merdaali Guardian" will focus on repairing the shield of these cards as its priority (something I do in my battle, by repairing the shield of my "Furious Chicken").
  • Strengthen: This is a great ability and this card is specifically obtained at its last level, however, it still gives a great advantage to the whole team, since it focuses on giving +1 health to all the monsters that are on the side of its field, including itself of course, so both it and the team get additional protection from what it can offer.

This is a card that I highly recommend leveling up and also use it in conjunction with the summoner called "Kelya Frendul", to get a higher win rate.

As I mentioned before, my strategy was based on winning with only one card in the offensive, while the rest did their job of protecting it, so to start with this strategy, the only thing I thought was to counteract the last moves of my opponent, who had been playing very often with the summoner "Zintar Mortalis" and a good team of cards with the ability of "Sneak and Opportunity", something that is great and is a very good combination, but something that my opponent did not take into account and that many do not, is that the cards of the "Splinter of Death" usually have very few life points, which makes them vulnerable and exposed to a direct attack.

With this in mind, my strategy was based on surprising my opponent with a very fast tank, but without any hit points, something that would not be expected, since my opponent's tank is a very strong one, this being the "Haunted Spirit" but that, does not have a very good speed, so it would serve very well to place my "Kelp Initiate" in front of the battle with its fabulous +6 speed points. On the other hand, I should not leave my tank alone, so I immediately thought of giving him protection with my "Merdaali Guardian", accompanied of course by my summoner "Kelya Frendul", with this my strategy is almost complete.

The only thing missing was to place a fast offensive and lethal offensive power, so the card that met these requirements perfectly is my "Deeplurker" with its wonderful "Opportunity" ability and lethal power. Finally, in order to protect my "Merdaali Guardian", I placed my "Furious Chicken" in the last position.

Rule of my Battle

Stampede & Lost Legendaries with 15 Mana.

  • Mana: 15
  • Stampede: The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed.
  • Lost Legendaries: Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.

Kelya Frendul

This is my chosen summoner for this battle, his incredible abilities helped my whole formation to be able to win this incredible battle, taking into account that my attack was focused on "Melee attack", with Kelya, I could make sure to get more speed and protection, taking the weakness of my opponent with my greatest strength and advantage in this battle, highlighting that the low speed of this allowed me to take full advantage in this battle.

Kelp Initiate

This is an incredible monster accessible for any type of battle, especially those of very low mana like this one, since with only +2 mana point, I was able to summon it to the field, so that it could be my "Tank" in this battle. On the other hand, his +7 health points and his incredible speed of +6 points, make him a pretty tough nut to crack, since with the low speed that my opponent has in his attack, I was able to dodge a large number of direct attacks and thus protect my direct offensive (Deeplurker).

Deeplurker

This was the only card I placed in my offensive and I only needed this one to win this battle. Its incredible main stats gave me everything I needed to win, having an incredible melee attack power of +4 points, although it was diminished by -1 point thanks to my opponent's "Zintar Mortalis" ability. Even so, the +4 point speed of my "Deeplurker", his "Opportunity and Poison" abilities, make him a very complicated opponent and a card that can cause up to 5 points of damage in a single attack.

**Merdaali Guardian

One of the key pieces of my formation as I already explained, this amazing support card allowed me to protect not only me "Kelp Initiate" as my tank, but the shield of all my monsters thanks to the "Repair" ability which focuses on repairing the damage caused by my opponent on them, plus of course the "Tank Heal" which focuses on healing the health of my tank in each round. A very good card that works very well in conjunction with the summoner "Kelya Frendul".

Furious Chicken

This card for me is essential in every formation, since in every battle there is a high probability that it will give me a couple more rounds for the rest of my cards to destroy my opponent, this is because my opponent's cards consume an attack towards me "Furious Chicken", which gives me the opportunity to attack one more round without my most important formation cards, such as my support and my offense, suffering any major damage on the field.

When we are facing a "Ranking" battle, we should always observe the last formations that our opponent has used, this will give us very useful information of what our opponent could devise to counterattack, of course it does not tell us exactly what formation he will play with, but we can devise a strategy to neutralize his move. This was the case in this battle, where my opponent was already playing in his last 3 battles with the "Splinter of Death" and the "Zintar Mortalis", which tells me that his next lineup could be of death.

This is essential because based on this, I could come up with a fast strategy, which would take advantage of my opponent's weakness which was clearly his speed, then keeping this in mind I decided to play with my "Kelya Frendul", which increases my speed by +1 point and grants +1 shield point to my entire formation, this would allow me to place the fastest cards in my game, with a decent summon mana and a fast and lethal offense against my opponent's weak life point cards and his low speed.

In the end my opponent had a good battle formation, but his speed did not allow him to win the battle, as my cards were not only far superior in speed, but, the only one in my offense, had the possibility to cause serious damage that amounted to about +5 points of damage, taking into account the abilities of "Opportunity and Poison together, were more than enough to cause damage, while my support did all the work of protecting my entire battle formation.

So, to finish this strategy post, I hope this one can help the less experienced to know how to take advantage of the available mana in the battle and more when it is very low. An incredible strategy with the "Water Splinter" using the new summoner "Kelya Frendul".

Hahaha I totally agree with you, the chicken has helped me win endless battles, so when the mission is to not use Neutrals I find it really hard to complete haha.
