What would be the catalysts for Splintershards (SPS) to shift to an upward trend?

Saludos Splinterlovers

Splinterlands is experiencing one of its best moments since its launch in mid-2018, although I imagine you might be wondering how this can be, given that SPS is at an all-time low, DEC is out of parity, and as a result, the economy is a little unstable right now. Despite this, I dare say that we are in a good place. Although I am really talking about development, the game has been improving for years and months beyond our imagination. There are many new things that enhance the player experience, and it is a team that has never stopped working.

Even so, the price action of SPS and DEC, although more so SPS, fails to keep pace with the development of the game, which would be a more fundamental aspect. We know that in cryptocurrencies and in this ecosystem, fundamental aspects are the most important and determine whether the game really captures the attention of players and/or investors. However, despite what I said earlier, we need something more. We need aspects or what I have called in the title "Catalysts" so that we can finally see beyond the horizon.

So, in this post, I want to explore precisely that: what are the catalysts that will enable the SPS to take off, reach new highs, or at least reach the prices it achieved in April of this year? Join me as we take a look.

What do we need to improve the price action of SPS?

If there's one thing I've learned in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, it's that attention is the most important thing in a project, because if you get attention, investment in the product will follow. And this is precisely what we need at Splinterlands. There are no secret tricks, there is nothing else we can do to make our game grow in every way, and this also applies to improving the SPS price action while we capture attention.

Pero How can we capture the attention of players and/or investors?

  • The Marketing Front: Change the narrative and the objective: In my opinion, all marketing focuses on the existing community, and although changes have been made to make it much easier for players to get started, which it is, we must look outward.

  • New narrative: We must strive to position Splinterlands as a world-class game in the web3 space, highlighting what we already know: ownership of NFTs and in-game items, plus an economy that has been sustained for many years, including burning systems and SPS supply reduction.

  • Key platforms: We must establish a presence on Twitch and YouTube Gaming, emphasizing not the profits that can be made, but rather the gameplay and strategy of a fast-paced and entertaining game.

  • Strategic alliances: I know this could be complicated, but something that could catapult Splinterlands forward is precisely a partnership with a well-known web2 gaming brand that, of course, wants to experiment with web3. In fact, I've already seen several that are doing this, which represents an opportunity for growth.

The most important thing

In my opinion, something that the game absolutely needs is a mobile experience, since practically all types of games can now be played on mobile devices or smartphones. This way, Splinterlands could cover much more ground than just the web, so a mobile app is needed that encompasses the entire game, is simple, and isn't too heavy.

What do we need to double market capitalization?

As you can see in the image, right now the "Market Capitalization" of SPS is $3.2M, which in the crypto space is really low, basically there is no attention and the existing community maintains the price, However, if everything I mentioned in the previous section comes to pass, it would be very easy for the price to experience a 115% increase, which would basically double the market capitalization to $7M.

That big rise could put the price of SPS at $0.01693, which would be really good, as my investment in SPS would double, but I know we have much better potential than that, since Splinterlands is a game that has already survived a "Crypto Winter," being one of the few games that managed to move forward without stopping despite adversity, and where thousands of web3 game projects died without remedy.

Conclusion

To sum up: Splinterlands already has the foundation (the game), but to capture attention, in my opinion, it must act like a modern technology company: invest heavily in a frictionless UX (mobile and onboarding), and launch marketing campaigns that emphasize the game's strategy and real ownership of assets, rather than just profits.

This plan would not only attract potential players, but also offer investors a clear roadmap for growth, which is what capital seeks in Web3, or at least what I have seen in hundreds of projects, leading me to conclude that "attention" is the key to success.

With nothing further to add, until next time, "Splinterlords."

I invite everyone to join Splinterlands, the best game based on chains of blocks, full of adventures, battles, and strategies where you will have fun and get rewards according to your league
