Premium feature released on PeakMonsters

On the 16th at 5:30 AM Asgarth put a post in the PeakD discord, use the link if you are not in the discord, stating premium features were release for PeakMonsters' and everyone would be getting 2 week free trial. The trial ends on Aug 30th I assume 5:30 AM as that is when the post happened. You may have noticed you had to re-login into PeakMonsters' not knowing why, well this was why, that login enabled all the premium features. Below is a list of the changes and the screen shot shared by Asgarth of the new premium features.

• A new "Premium" subscription that unlock additional features and benefits
• You can upgrade to Premium in your Profile page. Payment supported in PKM (bonus discount), SPS, DEC, HIVE, HBD
• Payments will be sent directly to the 'pkm-rewards' account and used to increase the rewards of the PKM:SPS liquidity providers. For a limited time PKM payments will be burned to increase the value of the token
• A new Compare metric specific for rented out cards
• Experience to set and update price of rented cards is totally new and there are a bunch of new options for Premium accounts to tune card prices
• Premium account can now update prices of rented out cards
• New and improved filters in the collection page
• More options to compare prices of yours rented out cards with current market rates
• Improved Rewards page including estimation of your own LP rewards (SPS and DEC)
• Other changes and improvements.

The new premium features will cost $3.00 in PKM or $4.50 a month paid in SPS, DEC, Hive or HBD. Below is the explanation of how the payments for the premium features will be used.

"Payments for Premium subscription are burned (if you decide to pay with PKM) or sent to pkm-rewards to be distributed as rewards to PKM:SPS liquidity providers. So also if you have to pay for the subscription the payment itself is not collected by PeakMonsters but used to rewards our community"

With all release this bug there have been some issue which have been talked about in the discord since the release.

Let's talk about two of the issues.

Updating rental prices without canceling.

This is a Splinterlands issue and the SL team I believe is targeting the Thursday 08/18 maintenance window for a fix, but until SL has corrected this issue it has been disabled on the PeakMonsters' site.

Lowest Market Price

Let talk about this one, Asgarth said PeakMonsters' scan all the cards every 5 minutes to get the Lowest price for a cards. So as soon as the scan starts it is out dated. Even if they scanned for the card you want to post as soon as you try and rent it, it is out dated as soon as the scan starts. Everytime someone puts a card up for rent it can easily out date the "Lowest Market Price".

One of the most common reasons I've seen for using this in the discord is "It's a one button push and I don't have to worry about it". The problem with this is you are leaving a ton of DEC on the table. Yes, if you use "Lowest Market Price" your cards will rent out in minutes if not seconds but now with the new premium features, you can use that same "button push" and choose the 50th, 66th, or 80th percentile button and earn 2 - 3 time the DEC you were earning. Yes, you cards may not get rented in minutes or second but they will get rented. If they don't rent in a day you update them and continue.

Why do some of these automated "rental" bot say they can earn you double the DEC then you are currently getting, it's because everyone uses "Lowest Market Price" and the bots do not. They look at the averages across days and set the price accordingly. I am trying one right now and it's is earning me the same DEC I was getting manually, why? Because I would go in manually and cancel / change my rental prices every couple of hours. So I am paying to have that time back but and earning the same.

My collection for renting is small enough I don't think I would pay the $4.50 for the premium features from PeakMonsters' as the cost for a rental bot right now for me is far less but I am highly considering it. There are a lot of other feature in this update that could make the $4.50 worth it.

I'm not going to go into all the feature as I've been trying to put together a tutorial on PeakMonsters' thankfully this up hit before I did some of the area's they have changes, now I just need to get all my posts together for the tutorial before my trial runs out so I understand and know all of them to help me decide if I want to purchase the premium right now, I know I will purchase it as my collection grows, so it's not a matter of if I get it but when I get it.

I wanted to do my post so those that read it will know they have a premium trial running and can check out the features to see if they want to continue the feature when it runs out.
