PeakMonster Tips and Tricks

Sorry for the bit of hiatus but I do want to finish my overall guide for PeakMonsters so lets get to the next piece the "Buy" page!!!!

Buy page on PeakMonsters

As with the My Cards page the Buy page has 3 different views, the grid (default), list, and the compare view. Each view will offer you a similar way to view your the cards you are looking to buy but there are a few different options based on the view.

Buy Grid View

Buy List View

Buy Compare View

As you can see the grid view show less information to start but has the Buy, Bid, and Rent buttons right there. Where the list view has more information per card with the Make Bid and Bulk Buy buttons present. The compare view is much more condensed but you can easily buy or bid on a card.

Edit: Updated the screenshot to show favorite button on the buy compare view. Once you click the start when you use the favorite filter only those cards you have clicked the star or favorited will show up

Compare View

BuyCompareDetails.png

The compare view has far less details when you look at the different cards by clicking on the magnifying glass. Click the magnifying glass again will also collapse the card view. The first cart buy will purchase the low price cards the cart buttons next to each card will add those cards to the your cart. You can also click to add a card then scroll down and hold down shift and click down to the number of cards you want to buy. This will add all the cards between your first click and the click where you held down shift when you clicked the cart button to your cart. This is good if the first page is say all 1 BCX cards and you just want to buy them all.

After that you can see the cards for sale listed below the card stats. You have the << < and > >> button to go to the next or previous page with < or > and you can go to the end or the beginning with the << or >> button. You can also click on the page number you want from the pages displayed. As you go throw the pages the number show will change to be + / - 2 around the page you are on after you past page 3. below page 3 pages 1 through 5 are displayed.

Buying a card

Buying Cards

Once you have added cards you wish to buy to the cart you can click on the cart in the top right. This will display the cart where you can remove a single card or everything in the cart. The trash can next to the card will remove that card while the trash can in the upper right will remove all cards from the cart.

This screen shows you the total CP and price for all the cards in your cart. You will also see the PKM airdrop message letting you know how much you would need to spend to be airdrop PKM (PeakMonster's token).

Finally you can buy with credits or dec and the amount needed is show on each button at the bottom and how much of each you have under these button.

Grid and List View

Buy Grid or List Card Details

When you click on a card in grid view that opens up is the same as you'll see when you click on a card in grid or list view. So we'll only this data once. The overall different between Grid and List is how the cards are display originally. With grid being more condensed and list displaying the stats data without having to click on the card.

We have the "Hide Cards" which collapses the view back to the original state of the grid or list view.

The same navigation over the card pages as the in the compare view.

There are 3 tabs for card listing (buying cards), card bids (biding on cards), and card rentals (renting the card). With all the time I've being using PeakMonsters I've always went to rentals and never realized there was a way to rent from this page!!!

Then you have the Stats, Day, Week, and Month buttons. The stats button is the default and will show the card stats per level. Here we see the different from the "Stats" button vs the "Day, Week, or Month" view. The difference between day, week, and month view will show the same day just over a day, week, or month.

Buy Grid / List Card Stats vs Day, Week, Month

Card Details tabs

When you are buying a card there are a few things to watch out for the status per level also show you how many cards are needed for a level. Make sure if you don't plan to buy more cards you don't buy a card with extra BCX in it. For example level 3 requires 14 cards but if you look at the two green boxes below one is exactly 14 BCX and what is what you want to buy but the first one is almost level 4.

Now what is happening here is the price per BCX is better with the 28 BCX because you are getting more BCX over the 14 BCX card but if you never plan to level it past level 3 that is wasted BCX and WASTER money.

You can also see the blue and purple cards have more BCX then what is needed for the level. People do this so their card show higher in the list and you will buy their cards over the cheaper card because they have less BCX but those cards are also the the exact card you are looking for... unless you plan to level past the card level you are currently buying.

Buy Grid / List Buy Caution

The Card Bid tab will show the active and partial bids players have placed. If you have a bid on a card you will be able to update or delete your bid here also.

Buy Grid / List Card Bids

Finally we have Card Rentals tab where you can rent the card. There is also an info button about the rentals here. We'll cover rentals more in-depth when we cover the rent page.

Buy Grid / List Card Rentals

The next thing we have is the Make Bid or Bulk Buy buttons. The bulk buy is one I use a lot when looking to level up a card. Click each of these button will pop up a new window where you can make your bid or buy in bulk.

With bulk buy say you don't have a card and want to buy a level 6 which is 100 BCX you can enter 100 for the highest level card (BCX) and it will show you the price, the average price and total cards that will be purchased. As you can see here it will purchase 106 BCX because it is 7 cards you can examine them to see if you want to purchase the extra BCX. As stated previous unless you are going to continue to level the extra BCX will be wasted. In this case you are paying 2.8 cents over 100 cards time .007 so it may be worth it as you can combine the cards keeping the extra BCX out and then rent the extra BCX when then come back and purchase the remaining BCX you need to complete the level.

At the bottom you will see the buttons to close this window and the button to add the cards you wish to buy to the cart.

Buy Grid / List Bulk Buy

Here you can enter the price per BCX you wish to pay, the total BCX and the highest level BCX. So in the example above if we wanted a level 6 cards we could enter 100 total BCX and the highest card level as 100 BCX. This would place the bid for the card and continue to buy them as if found cards available until it reached 100 BCX which because the highest level card we enter 100 could be a single lv 6 card. If we leave it as 1 BCX then it will purchase 100 - 1 BCX cards until it has fulfilled the order. From here you would confirm the bid or close the window if you wish not to make the bid.

In order to place a bid you have to grant PeakMonsters the ability to bid on your behalf. This can be done through the settings and is covered in our post getting started with PeakMonsters.

Buy Grid / List Make Bid

Summary

This post covers the majority of the Buy page showing the the different view and how to see what data is present in each view. How to purchase or bid on a card. We'll follow up with another one to cover the filters and some of the random items on the page.
