I just came across an update on the Splinterlands announcement channel shared on the 5th by DaveMccoy and another shared on the 8th by Investigator respectively. The first announcement was that the Escalation conflicts are underway. The team also mentioned that based on the data they have at hand, there are estimating a guarantee of 325 reward chances. They stated that the precise number will be shared when the official article is posted. The Escalation conflicts is significantly less chances needed unlike the previous Conclave Arcana conflicts because the minted Black foils have been reduced by only having one pack type and the impact of the Black foils have reduced likewise. Additionally , there has also been a change to the GOLD FOIL draw events which is that the number of GOLD foil cards have now been reduced to 50 from the 155 it used to be. The cause of this change is due to technical difficulties experienced in the process of blocking out future GOLD FOIL cards in the future pack openings.
The team mentioned that they had to limit the number of GOLD foil cards to mimic the amount in circulation closely other than having to create a fixed amount as was originally intented. They added that if more packs are opened in future and now GF cards are minted,the number may be increased in future conflicts. The second announcement was that the team had received report concerning the settings on the game which include gameplay preferences, volume and bot toggles whose values has been reset to default and they were able to identify the cause. It was mentioned that the issue is due to how the game handles request from some third-party apps explaining that sometimes, when the external tools sends a request it prompts incorrect user configuration resets to their default state. The team has reached out to the third-party team to be able to resolve the API request responsible. Splinterlands Devs are also working on fixing the issue to ensure saved settings are not affected.
