Survive the poison with Lily Shieldpaw [ENG/ESP]

As we play splinterlands we are challenged to create strategies to achieve victory in every battle, rulesets have become an important part of the game because they force us to play with certain rules, sometimes they limit us and sometimes they maximize our chances because of the cards we have. If you are like me you will surely have a "pre-chosen" team and also certain strategies, so in this post I will share a tactic to face the poison ruleset so you can suffer less the negative effect and have the advantage in combat.

A medida que jugamos splinterlands somos desafiados a crear estrategias para conseguir la victoria en cada batalla, las rulesets se han vuelto parte importante en el juego porque nos obligan a jugar con ciertas reglas, a veces nos limitan y en otras ocasiones maximizan nuestras oportunidades debido a las cartas que poseemos. Si eres como yo seguramente tendrás un equipo “pre-escogido” y también ciertas estrategias, por lo que en este post voy a compartir una táctica para afrontar la ruleset de veneno de manera que puedas padecer menos el efecto negativo y tener la ventaja en el combate.

Some people combine Oshannus with River Nymph and that way they get rid of the poison effect from the first turn, sometimes I also play like that but when there is enough mana and fire is available I go that way, what I do is use Grum in the first position and with Scavo Chemist I get rid of the poison, then in the second row I place Forgotten One, and that way I have two cards available to fight, but did you know that we can place one more and protect it from the poison?

This is where the strategy that I am going to share begins, for that we will need the summoner Lily Shieldpaw because thanks to her skills and effects that she provides to the team she is very useful in combat. Lily has two good abilities, the first one is that she provides Camouflage, this way she forces the enemies to attack our cards in order, from the first monster to the end, this is necessary because the card in question that we will use in the strategy will be near or at the end of the second row being affected by the poison in each turn.

Como sabrás “noxious on fume” quita -2 puntos de vida a todos los monstruos en cada turno haciendo que el equipo se debilite y muera rápidamente, solo las cartas con la habilidad de inmunizar pueden escapar de esta condición, la más conocida es Forgotten One del splinter de fuego, una carta poderosa realmente, muchas veces con ella he obtenido la victoria gracias a su habilidad, sin embargo al ser tan conocida no es tan difícil derrotarla, si sabes usarla bajo esta regla también sabrás como vencerla.

Hay quienes combinan a Oshannus con River Nymph y de esa forma lo libran del efecto venenoso desde el primer turno, a veces también juego así pero cuando hay suficiente mana y está disponible fuego me voy por allí, lo que hago es usar a Grum en la primera posición y con Scavo Chemist lo libro del veneno, luego en la segunda fila coloco a Forgotten One, y de esa manera tengo dos cartas disponibles para luchar. ¿Pero sabias que podemos colocar una más y protegerla del veneno?

Aquí es donde comienza la estrategia que voy a compartir, para eso necesitaremos a la invocadora Lily Shieldpaw ya que gracias a sus habilidades y efectos que proporciona al equipo es de gran utilidad en el combate. Lily tiene dos buenas habilidades, la primera es que proporciona Camuflaje, de esta forma obliga a los enemigos a atacar nuestras cartas en orden, desde el primer monstruo hasta el final, esto es necesario porque la carta en cuestión que usaremos en la estrategia estará cerca o al final de la segunda fila siendo afectada por el veneno en cada turno.

In my case I chose Tenyii Striker that has Snake as an ability, you can also use another one but the goal is that the card you place attacks the second row of the enemy, ideally it should have good life, otherwise it will not help you because it could die in the second turn because of the poison.

The point of the strategy is the combined abilities of Lily, as Tenyii will not be attacked by any enemy card (only Scattershot skips Camouflage) Shieldpaw will heal her in each turn thanks to Triage and will create a closed cycle where Tenyii cannot be eliminated while she is not in the first position, that way you can take advantage of her offensive attack in each turn and minimize the possibility of being defeated under this condition.

I did not choose a monster with triage because the poison will also affect it and it will heal itself every turn, although this is not bad if it is a powerful card but in that sense the strategy is limited because you will not have camouflage at your disposal and it can be attacked by enemy cards, the perfect strategy is with the Shieldpaw summoner.

Now that we have explained the theory, let's go to practice and in this way we finish this post, I will leave you a battle where I applied the tactic combining the two strategies previously mentioned and already known, so I managed to have two cards free of poison and one protected with Shieldpaw, the result was a crushing victory, look for yourself so you can then apply it in your respective battles.

En mi caso escogí a Tenyii Striker que tiene Snake como habilidad, también puedes usar otra pero el objetivo es que la carta que coloques ataque la segunda fila del enemigo, lo ideal es que tenga buena vida, de lo contrario no te servirá porque podría morir en el segundo turno a causa del veneno.

El punto de la estrategia son las habilidades combinadas de Lily, como Tenyii no será atacada por ninguna carta enemiga (solo Scattershot se salta Camuflaje) Shieldpaw la curara en cada turno gracias a Triage y creara un ciclo cerrado donde Tenyii no podrá ser eliminada mientras no esté en la primera posición, de esa forma podrás aprovechar su ataque ofensivo en cada turno y minimizaras la posibilidad de ser derrotado bajo esta condición.

No escogí un monstruo con triage porque el veneno también le afectara y se curara a sí mismo en cada turno, aunque esto no es malo si es una carta poderosa pero en ese sentido la estrategia es limitada porque no tendrás camuflaje a tu disposición y puede ser atacada por las cartas enemigas, la estrategia perfecta es con la invocadora Shieldpaw.

Ahora bien, ya explicada la teoría vamos a la práctica y de esa forma terminamos con este post, te dejare una batalla donde aplique la táctica combinando las dos estrategias previamente nombradas y ya conocidas, por lo que logre tener dos cartas libres de veneno y una protegida con Shieldpaw, el resultado fue una victoria aplastante, mírala tú mismo para que luego la apliques en tus respectivas batallas.
