Now a long way from its ATH, today the token suffers from high inflation and low positive sentiment, waiting for greater use.

The team revealed in the latest Town Hall that they have understood the tokenomic of the game and everything is pointing to the burning of SPS in favor of DEC. To date, this mechanism has given poor results: just under 2 million SPS have been burned. As of today, about 37 SPS is currently needed to get 1000 DEC, the token price has dropped to $0.026, and that doesn't change the situation. The burning process could actually work with an SPS value above at least $0.10 where the conversion would become more beneficial and challenging.

From this point, I'm wondering if the team could consider providing a guaranteed minimum value of SPS when purchasing eg Splinterlands packs like Riftwatchers. Currently, approximately 180 SPS are required to purchase 1 RW package (+ 1 VOUCHER) worth $5. In this case, the minimum guaranteed value requires only 50 SPS, much more advantageous for investors. I personally would immediately start buying many Riftwatchers packs, since it is very convenient to buy SPS from the market, and this would have two essential effects: to increase the buying pressure, with a consequent increase in value, and to stimulate the sale of packs more suddenly.

Could this be food for thought to work on to add more value to SPS? Perhaps. The team also stated that LAND will require tons of DEC and this should stimulate the burning process. In my opinion, however, it will be necessary to understand how to provide greater value to SPS in the immediate future to make it increasingly attractive for players who want to grow their assets in Splinterlands..
