SPS DAO Project Manager Invoicing and Recap January 2026
Happy New Years Splinterfam! Hope everyone is getting off to a good start for the year. I've been exceptionally busy post holidays between working for the DAO, the team and even trying to help out HIVE a bit. Let's run through some of the highlights for January 2026:
This month I started applying for grants for the DAO. I don't know if we'll get any, but it doesn't hurt to apply and honestly it's not a huge lift compared to the potential reward. Our DAO has built bridging and connected SPS and HIVE to 3 different EVMs and being able to show we have a live project is a big plus. I'm not going to hold my breath they give us a grant, but I'll keep you guys posted if I hear back.
We've started experimenting with a new Pack Attack show and I held a DAOn Hall with Dave to help explain some details related to the miniset launch. As we're getting close to the miniset launch, I've also been ramping up social media presence for the DAO.
We managed to get the HIVE multisig tool updated and functional thanks to a group effort. Jef-001 helped upgrade the UI and I tested it and coordinated with stoodkev to get a release. The Treasurers are now able to work more safely and efficiently with our HIVE wallets.
Speaking of HIVE, we've submitted the necessary forms to validate the wrapped token on all three of the EVMs and I'm coordinating with them so that we can hopefully see HIVE defi presence growing in the near future. If all goes well and HIVE defi starts picking up, our DAO gets a small cut of the bridge fees, so hopefully we can strengthen our home chain while benefiting ourselves as well.
I'm working on quite a few projects with the team to increase SPS utility. We finalized the miniset for release and I'm helping to design the next wave of voucher cards and some new forge cards (land resources + cinder). I'll update you guys as more of the projects are firmed up and ready to be announced.
We're trying to take care of the yearly foundation paperwork right now as well so I'm coordinating with law firm as well as the SPS Foundation Board to get that done. We'll have to pay our yearly filing fees in the next week or so, but they're pretty minimal as we chose our jurisdiction well.
Royaleagle and I have begun working on a DEC audit. We're hoping that this one isn't going to take as long as the SPS audit did, but to be honest projects like this have a tendency to branch out in many unexpected directions. We've done the preliminary work and are currently waiting on a new API to track and we'll go from there.
This one is already getting quite long so I'll wrap it up here.
